It started over an hour ago. Keep hitting the power button if it says it's off, or if you have to just get a shitty stream from atdhe.net or p2p4u.net

No cardio at all but especially none for Akiyama. 2nd fight in a row he gassed in badly.

They were pummeling each other pretty badly, though. Leben pulled that out of his ass. Entertaining fight.

WTF

Chris Leben submitting Akiyama was about as unlikely as Fedor losing to Werdum.

edit: I don't remember Akiyama gasing like that against Belcher -- or at least certainly not as soon. But then that was a year ago, so maybe I'm wrong.

True. I just kinda hate to see fighters gas that badly as all technique tends to go out the window. And Akiyama is really bad on that count. Good fight though. Good card and we haven't even got to the main event yet. Leben is absolutely silly trying to call out Silva though. Dude already whipped his ass and would have dusted the Leben of tonight too.

EDIT: I now realize Leben was probably calling out Wanderlei Silva rather than Anderson Silva. My bad.

Well now Velazquez knows the plan.

Lay and pray baby, lay and pray. If a dude with the power of mjolnir in his hands can't finish the hulk, don't expect your puny human hands to be able to do it.

You just gotta...pray son.

On the contrary.  What I saw was that Brock reacts ridiculously poorly to getting hit.  What failed Carwin was his gas tank, as he punched himself out.

We know Velasquez has good cardio, and that his striking technique is very good, crisp and fast.  Cain's path to victory very well could be in outstriking Brock, if he can shrug off a few takedowns.

It's amazing to think that a couple of years ago the heavyweight division was a real albatross for the UFC and now their most lucrative fights coming up are probably in that division.

In his first appearance in almost a year, Brock Lesnar left the Octagon with the undisputed heavyweight championship around his waist and hefty lump of money in his bank account.

Lesnar submitted the previously unbeaten Shane Carwin with a second-round arm-triangle choke in the UFC 116 “Lesnar vs. Carwin” main event on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The victory, his first since an intestinal disorder nearly ended his career in late 2009, earned him a $75,000 “Submission of the Night” bonus.

Carwin had Lesnar on the run in the first round, after his heavy hands put the champion on his back. The 6-foot-3, 265-pound former World Wrestling Entertainment superstar weathered the attack and tired Carwin in the process. At the start of round two, it became clear Carwin had little left in the gas tank.

Meanwhile, Chris Leben and Yoshihiro Akiyama pocketed a $75,000 bonus for “Fight of the Night,” as did “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 1 finalist Stephan Bonnar and Krzysztof Soszynski. Leben finished Akiyama with a third-round triangle choke in the co-headliner. Bonnar put away Soszynski with a second-round knee strike and follow up punches in a featured light heavyweight attraction.

Finally, Carwin’s Grudge Training Center teammate, Gerald Harris, banked a $75,000 bonus for “Knockout of the Night” after he rendered Dave Branch unconscious with a powerful slam in the third round. Harris, 30, has rattled off 10 consecutive victories, nine of them finishes.

"This isn't about me tonight," said Lesnar, who made his first appearance in nearly a year. "This is about my family. This is about my doctors. This is about my training partners, my training staff. I am blessed by God. Ladies and gentlemen, I stand before you a humble champion. And I'm still the toughest SOB around, baby."

What a narcissistic idiot.  I hope someone knocks him the fuck out soon.

Yep. If Cain can avoid the mat and get Lesnar running scared a la Kalib Starnes like Carwin did, Cain is gonna beat that ass. I was pretty surprised at how mediocre Brock's striking defense still is. Guess that's just not something he's gonna excel it

It looked like Munoz took the 2nd round and Okami was clearly dominant in the 3rd. I bet both fighters wish they'd turned it up a little more in the first. Does Okami's ground game look that bad compared to Munoz'?

Either Anderson Silva knees the fuck out of Sonnen's face in the first ten seconds, or we get five rounds of the Silva Dancing Clinic. Either way, Silva wins.

Silva's deadly, and Sonnen's got a big mouth. I don't think his expectations are realistic, but after the weird showboating and rules-lawyering (win 3 rounds, coast 2), I'm hoping to see Silva ousted.
