PC version doesn't come out until September 15th. Ugh, I was hoping to be able to play it with the console versions but it looks like I might actually have to spend money on it now and rent it.

Played about 2 hours.  Very enjoyable and I'd compare it more to this years Dead Space than Bioshock as it's kinda a metroid-map based guided adventure game.  It's fun, though just barely more of an actual "game" than Assassin's Creed/Prince of Persia; very auto-gaming.  Could easily have been an Ubi title.

The voices are great

fucking hell. :(   I guess that's why everyone's so happy about being awesome at the game and why they can take 10 guys out at once...

Will still buy as a black friday deal.

There's nothing wrong with having the game hold your hand. The question is if its FUN. Prince of Persia WAS NOT FUN. IT WAS GARBAGE. Batman looks to have a good story and nice environments. Persia had retardo wisecracking Nolan North yapping and yapping while you ran around in circles collecting shiny things. THAT ISNT FUN.

I fundamentally don't like auto-gameplay mechanics.  it doesn't feel like I'm doing anything.  Unless there are consequences and threats of dying in the game...speaking of which, are there?  Nobody has said much about the difficulty.

So far the game isn't difficult. Though i'm playing on normal. The parts where you are taking dudes out in the rooms seem like they would be trickier on Hard.

I just got to the first Scarecrow encounter spoiler:

I bought it for the $30 giftcard. Sick deal. I almost died against the first mini-boss thing (the deformed giant). Dude took half my fucking life with one swing.

Game feels very fluid, very well made. I missed a Trophy in the Detox room... didnt seem like I could get it yet.

Game doesnt feel very hard though. It still says when I can counter ("Press Y to counter" pops up instead of lightning bolts). I just mash X and he seems to just beat them all up. They dont have guns yet so will wait and see. I also like no regen health. Theres also no health packs... gotta earn that health by getting XP.

Will it have any replayability, though? If it has none, is it something like BioShock, where you can go back and replay because of how immersive it is?

I'd say it's as long and as big as bioshock.  The difference here is that it focuses even more on exploration I think.  The combat is really nice though.

It's definitely worth the deal demi got.  Things like exploration might not be as fun the second time through but there seems to be a good amount of replay value anyways.

no achievement = why bother with the hardest mode? I wouldve bumped the difficulty up midgame for more exp once I found hardcore was a cakewalk but then you cant see the items on the map, a pain if youre going for 100%

Paul Dini knows his stuff. He was one of the main writers for most of WB's animated series in the 90's, like Tiny Toons, Batman/Batman Beyond, Superman, Duck Dodgers, Animaniacs, Freakazoid, and Justice League.

He also wrote a bunch of episodes of He-Man. :rock
