Danny Wuerffel was bad, but this is much, much worse. This is embarrassing, and it's been two straight nationally televised games of embarrassment. You've got overpaid DTs mouthing off to a defensive coach with a sterling record, then reports that there are other players that are late to practice - sometimes upwards of two hours?!
It's true that you don't have to detonate the entire team. Orakpo looks like a stud, the front is pretty decent. I think Rogers is a bust at this point, and Hall is more trouble than he's worth. He's great at starting fights, not so much at tackling players. Smoot is a decent nickel corner, but he should never be starting. They still have not found a replacement for Sean Taylor over two years later.
That offensive line is a disaster, and the backfield is pretty bad too. Maybe if we get Shanahan he'll trade Portis for Bailey.
