Yeah, I like the look. They found a way to translate a noir look without the black and white by going with a dusty, sleepy beach town. The camera angles and bits of sun glare, along with the empty roads work well. I guess I would call the look Mellow Yellow.

I wouldn't exactly call San Diego dusty or sleepy, but I do like what you're saying.

But it's a San Diego suburb isn't it? I don't recall seeing any of the central parts of San Diego in the show.

I just know it reminds me of the smaller central coast towns of California.

Been so busy I didn't even realise the second season was out. Love the first season. Kenny Powers :bow2 Also I've nearly finished watching the entirety of Star Trek Next Generation  :-[ Never watched any Star Trek before and me and my gf got into sci fi after watching Battlestar Gallactica so for the past 8 months or so we've been slowly getting through TNG. I love it. Any other borito trekkies?

Been watching episodes of Seinfeld online and I've been drawn in enough to nab the whole series and I'm about to marathon it. I didn't used to like Seinfeld, mainly because of the laugh track, but after seeing Curb Your Enthusiasm and learning that George = Larry David, I've gotten over my laugh-track annoyance and am totally enamored with the series. The Pitch was fucking HILARIOUS.

The last few episodes of Veronica Mars S3 felt like a set up for another season. I guess they didn't know they were gonna get canceled? The main cases were cool though.

On to the next show.

The show was always on the bubble so they definitely didn't know if it was coming back or not that final season. Even if it would have come back it would have been a reboot so none of that stuff would have mattered.

I did like how season 3 ended though. I thought it was a fitting ending for the show.

I'm a big fan of TNG, a moderate fan of the original series, and know that I have to watch all of DS9 at some point. I hear later Enterprise episodes are good, but I'll pass anyway, and also will likely never watch Voyager. But TNG is the freakin' bawmb.

I still watch it. And there are always the occasional funny moments. But the office is a good comparison. Both shows sort of feel like they are phoning it in at this point.

It could be just that I'm burned out on 30 rock period but I didn't like it. And despite their background from SNL I hate when shows do a "live" gimmick. Strikes me as some Will & Grace kinda shit.

Everything is so crazy. A friend of mine used to jokingly say the writers wrote Tracy Morgan's character as if they had never met a black person. But now everything he says/does is so smh worthy like a parody I dunno lol.

The Office has great characters too, but it hasn't evolved as much as the writers would have us believe. Just because someone gets married doesn't justify running the same pranks over and over again.

I started watching BSG again. I left off admist season 3 because the drama was too forced, everyone was fucking everyone and they took away Gaius Baltar. I went back, sludged through a few episodes and bow Baltar is back! I am not sure he's the only reason to watch the show, but the cult of Baltar's hot dick is awesome.

they're not just recycling pranks, they're recycling story lines.  We're now on the the what?  Third love triangle?  I don't care anymore people.  And I especially don't care when it involves fairly new characters with little to no real development.  Fuck off.

Louie went from "pretty cool" to "amazing" with the 9th episode (Bully). A lot of times in earlier episodes, the line between comedy and serious shit was rather forced. I thought this episode was perfect though, and so real it felt almost painful to watch at times because I've witnessed similar situations before.

I'm caught up on Fringe as well. Kinda sad the "official thread" is not getting more love.

Finished Burn Notice season 3 tonight on the way home. Feeling kinda "burned out" to be honest. After the cameos from major characters from 24 and Dexter, I was honestly hoping that Gilroy's bad client would turn out to be someone  major from yet another series, and not some goofy b-lister. Or maybe he /is/ someone major from a show I'm just not familiar with? Probably take a break from this until season 4 is available in its entirety.

Haha, I bet. I was always interested in Seinfeld but because it had an audience it kept me from watching it for a long time. After seeing Curb, though, and laughing more during that show than probably my entire life, I decided Seinfeld was EASILY worth checking out, and it's so amazing how the show is laid out exactly like Curb. I have to say my favorite episode so far is The Airport.
