I'm pretty behind on most of these books and just read the Krypton Returns storyline. The ending made no sense to me. Superboy saves Argo City from blowing up with Krypton and dies in the process. He has TK powers and super strength, but is in constant pain due to being a Kryptonian/human hybrid. Was raised to be evil by some other baddie after they thought he died as a baby. So, after getting sent to the future with the Teen Titans, the two Super...boys fight and the good one wins, impaling Jon on a rock. This is all technically part of the Forever Evil Storyline, since the Crime Syndicate is responsible for sending them to the alternate future. But then after the fight, the good Superboy is teleported away, through space and time, to be a part of the completely-unrelated Krypton Returns storyline, where he ends up dying, and this makes zero sense since the events of Krypton Returns could not happen during Forever Evil. Future beast boy and Deathstroke's daughter then send the evil Superboy back to the present with the Titans because who fucking knows why and this shit makes no sense.

Speaking of death-of-Superman, reboots, and faux-edginess, Marvel's current "THREE MONTHS TO DIE" effort, which I'm guessing is the death arc for Wolverine, really makes me sick at heart for the state of comics. When Superman was killed off, yeah, sure, we thought he might come back -- would probably come back -- but we didn't know how or why, and the "placeholder Supermen" who arose in his wake were at least interesting as an experiment.

Marvel pretending like they're going to kill Wolverine in anything other than a "WHAT IF..." storyline is so utterly money grubbing and disingenuous, it boggles my mind. They're not drumming up other interest in Wolverine, the character which is applied-like-a-stamp to other comics' covers just to increase reader interest. They're not going to whack the one superhero fans consistently flock toward.

It's just gross.

Guess I don't need to bother with finishing Superboy-- DC is finishing it for me. Canceled with #34, along with several other books. All-Star Western has finally been canned. :'(

World's Finest is also getting completely changed-up and will star Batman and Superman again. Except that this won't be the New 52 Bats and Supes, but instead the Earth 2 versions. BUT WAIT it's not the versions everyone knows either, because that would make sense! See, in Earth 2 (which is a great read and everything is nice and self-contained) right now, Batman is actually

Nah, that arc is already over, although the current Wolverine story continues on from it. They're way behind with what's going on the rest of the Marvel U and need to end this shit already. Find something else to do with the character.

Loki was a woman, plus there's been weird horse-face alien Thor, Thunderstrike Thor, X-Men Storm Thor, frog Thor, future Thor, some other woman Thor already, and more.

It's just another publicity stunt by Marvel. Original Thor is still going to be there (wielding an axe) and will get his hammer back when the next Thor movie sequel comes out. It's Superior Spider-Man all over again.

You know who I feel bad for? The people handling Captain Marvel. Shouldn't she be Marvel's Wonder Woman-class female instead of this new Thor? Get the character into the movies already.

She is written with a real personality, though. A movie with super-powered lawyer antics would be fun.

Speaking of Hulks, I wish they would make the Marvel movie Hulk more intelligent already. Would love to see the Avengers go looking for him, only to find that he's Mr. Fixit in Vegas.

People keep wondering if there's going to be another Hulk movie. What would be interesting is a series of movies either based on Planet Hulk (ending with World War Hulk?), or for something more grounded, a movie where the antagonist is the Red Hulk. They could then introduce the other Hulks/Abominations accordingly.

I just read Jason Aarons' God Butcher run in Thor: God of Thunder and it is

as F.U.K.K.

Young Thor, Thor the Avenger, and King Thor in 893, present day, and 10,000,000 A.D.

It's on Marvel Unlimited - whole thing is 11 issues and very self-contained. Best Thor in years, highly recommended.
