I'd take an OG game, but I don't have this love for the stuff like others. I'd much rather have another crazy mashup licensed SRW.

I prefer the licensed stuff as well, but I have a soft spot for Katoki Hajime designs so I'm in love with the sexy, sexy R-1.

Fucking beautiful. :heartbeat

Wish we'd get another Super Robot Wars game with the Virtual On robots:

Sorry Mr. Gundam, but another rock cementing OG3 for PS3 as the next SRW just fell.

A while back there was a rumor that said Masoukishin for DS, OG3 for PS3.  Then Masoukishin got announced.
A few weeks back there was apparently the same rumor guy saying OG3 for PS3 @ TGS and SRW OG anime coming.  OG anime just got announced.

Z2's not coming soon :X

Also SRW 20th anniversary is 4/11/2011, so OG3's release date should be around that timeframe.

Not sure who is making the Macross PS3 title. I hope it's ArtDink (Macross Ultimate/Ace Frontier and the Gundam Battle series developer).

This totally seems like a demo for a full-fledged Macross PS3 title sometime next year. Still going to buy this day one.

http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/07/28/ps3_macross_bundle/

Quote from: Andria Sang
A Namco Bandai earnings report from a couple of months back hinted that the company might be combining video and gaming content for an adaption of the "Macross Frontier ~Itsuwari no Utahime~"

(Macross Frontier the Movie: The False Songstress) movie. Famitsu confirms this to be the case this week.

Debuting on the pages of this week's issue is Macross Frontier ~Itsuwari no Utahime~ Hybrid Pack. This single Blu-ray disc release includes the False Songstress movie and a new PS3 game that's based off the movie.

The PS3 game is titled Macross Trial Frontier. The magazine describes the game as an original title that follows the flow of PSP's Macross Ultimate Frontier, but with the expected rise in visual quality. Gameplay systems are based off the PSP game, allowing for smooth form transformations for your fighter and battles that fill the screen with missiles.

Characters and mecha from the movie will appear in the game. Variable Fighters include VF-25F, VF-25G, YF-25, VF-25S, RVF-25 and Queadluun Rare. More will be announced in a future update. On the character front, you'll be able to select songstresses Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee as support characters. They'll assist you in a variety of ways, and you'll of course get to hear their music during combat.

The movie side of the package includes the full "Macross Frontier ~Itsuwari no Utahime~" movie. Namco Bandai isn't skimping out on the bonus content here. You'll find over 50 minutes of bonus footage, including promotional specials and a video involving Sony's own Toro Station.

Both components will ship on a single Blu-ray disc. You'll need a PS3 to play Trial Frontier, but the video part of the package will be playable in a standard Blu-ray player.

Look for this rare PS3 and movie hybrid on October 7 at Ą7,140.

ACE:R has custom soundtrack integration to make up for lack of vocal songs.

So you just need to put the vocal songs you want to get with each unit on your ps3 and then you have ACE with vocal songs :)

They're basically achievements dressed up as trophies instead of numbers.  Just like there are achievements worth less points on the 360, there are bronze trophies that you get all the time.  Silver trophies are for bigger stuff or things relating to the main game.  Gold trophies are big things like finishing the game.  Platinum trophies are unlocked when you got all other trophies and there are one per game, but none for downloadable games.  They factor into a leveling up system in some way I don't know.

yeah, basically achievements with more visuals.

Supposedly its a point system also where bronze, silver, gold have there own weighted numbers and when you have enough you level up.The games supposedly have a point limit (smaller for PSN stuff) where the trophy weights are used to split it up.

I have seen people attempt to formularize it so they know the weights (trophies, game, amt for each level) but i'm not sure how successful it has been.

Plus i love the name for the platinum in this game "Ace pilot is you"  :lol
