If you've still got a CRT lying about somewhere original, otherwise emulators all the way. Fuck playing old games on HD TVs, even with overpriced and out of production shit like Freimeister it's not quite as good as on CRT with RGB/Components or emulators.

Have you tried changing your bios? Tbh unless you are playing something like God Hand the input lag generally shouldn't be bad enough to effect your gameplay that much. I have a much harder time maintaining good frame rate on PCSX2 than any latency problems.

Every Logitech mouse I've ever bought has without fail had its cheap ass microswitch fail on me within a year resulting in click issues. Finally after it happened again last time I got annoyed enough to bother calling them up and asking for a replacement, only for them to end up sending me a different model. Haven't bothered with them since, once this one inevitably fails I'll just go back to getting an MS mouse probably. Shame really since they are the only one left making good wireless trackball mouse at reasonable prices.

Yeah I bought 2 Logitechs in a row that had the double click issue, then one with a scroll wheel issue. Said fuck it and went with a cheap MS mouse that's been doing the job.

I had scroll wheel issues on several logitechs. A shame cause I usually like them. Right now I use a Zowie EC2-A which is pretty much perfect for FPS games, but not the best thing for casual browsing.

Logitechs wireless pro mouse looks pretty pretty cool though. Amazing how little it weight, considering the amount of battery time it packs. Might go for it if there is a deal.

this article says they were working on something but it got cancelled so that's probably a major hit to them

I thought VC4 was pretty good.

It's got the same great gameplay as the first. There's nothing like the feeling of using the games mechanics to achieve victory and since the mechanics are so sound, it sometimes feels like you've cheated. Like when you realize the tanks can run over the sandbags and you use that to take out an enemy encaptment of sandbag defenses and use your scout to take out the now defenseless enemies.

It returns to the simple progression of the first one over the PSP games and has only one new class. The classes otherwise are paired down from the sequels.

The story is ok. Far more anime then the first. It feels like a more typical jrpg story complete with the characters being more involved with the plot. Where as the first one felt more grounded with the cast just involved in the conflict. This one is a bit more silly, but decent. I do find the main character pretty boring though. The presentation is also worse as its a lot of talking heads. But that also meant that the side characters are able to be better intergreted into the story since there's fewer fully animated cutscenes. Also a lot more content thanks to Squad Stories and whatnot.

Pretty good game. Really enjoyed it.

My problem is I feel like the first one was fine for its time but it needed some changes/added depth which the sequels tried to bring (apparently 3 is pretty good, but I only played 1/2). Going back to the simpleness of VC1 and the graphics don't even look much better and the story is apparently worse...it's like why bother playing it? I'd rather just replay the first game if I wanted more of that. It's been long enough it'd be a pretty new experience to play it again now.

Well I'm not going to lie, it really is more of VC1. The Grenadier class and APC are cool tools to use, but it's really the same level of depth of mechanics. But as someone who likes it when rpgs and stuff are simple to understand and fun to cheese I like the simpleness of VC1 and now 4.

But I don't know, why bother? I don't know if you wanted more VC campaign to play through I guess. A new map pack. The missions are still pretty well designed and while I think the story is worse it's not bad. It has enjoyable characters and some of the more grounded takes on animu war that the first game had. The thing that is 100% worse is the presentation though. But I mean I feel like that allowed for more story and side content.

If your not looking for more VC1 in the form of a safe sequel then yeah it may not be for you.

I like it quite a bit although it's my first VC game. Has a decent amount of DLC if you want more content, including a number of characters from VC1 that you can add to your crew.

Speaking of tank games, I got Girls und Panzer Dream Tank Match DX for Switch last week. It got an English version in Asia, much like another Bandai-Namco release, Gintama Rumble did for PS4 last year.

And like that game, Girls und Panzer is like 50% visual novel and 50% game play. And like Gintama, I don't know the source material very well so I quit playing it to check the anime series first. This at least seems doable- Gintama is MASSIVE but maybe I don't need to go through the entire thing to get the game story down.

Seems like a fun little game, though. It's tank battles with a crew of

characters and you can do stuff with the tanks like drifting and speed boosts for better mobility. I got killed on the first real mission where you're told to hang back and fire at another group of tanks. Charged and got blasted apart. :'(

Taiwan dev puts out well reviewed horror game, is found to have a secret easter egg Winne the Pooh troll on China's president, game is then review bombed from China, they're dropped by their Chinese publisher that's going to sue them, and today they had to pull it from the Steam store (though they say it will come back).

Like if a dev who puts out 2 successful horror game ends up having to go bankrupt and lose everything because they made a joke at China's expense....that's just so fucked up :\

Not that I know of. Though I don't think Steam pulled it, I think the devs were forced to. The devs said it was pulled because more QA testing was needed and in light of current issues they would like to check all the files and make sure there's nothing else there and hope when they bring it back people will be able to focus on the quality of the game itself.

It's a shitty situation. Hopefully the game comes back and does ok and the devs aren't totally fucked for life because of this.

“I personally agreed to this AMA without doing my proper due diligence to understand the history and the controversy of the site,” Brock wrote, after holding the AMA on a page that linked out to a board featuring “Lolis with a few extra inches.”

I loved Kinect on 360 and was bummed when Xbone basically abandoned the peripheral. The Dashboard UI via Kinect was one of the worst things I've ever had to deal with in a tech product though. I'm pretty sure it's one of the reasons it fell flat. MS should have run as fast as possible to adapting Harmonix' Dance Central menu model for Dashboard navigation.
