Updating this post a bit. After beating Bayonetta 3 (I replayed B1/2 right before it), felt the urge to play some other PG games. Ended up playing the remastered version of W101 which I kickstarted, and also played through TMNT (lol) which I never went past the first level before.

I ended up rewatching a system explanation by an old character action games legend called Saurian if anyone here knew or remembers him. That helped me wrap my head around W101’s combat system since the actual game explains jackshit. Had a lot more fun than the first time around because of that, but much of the same issues I originally had with it were still there so I didn’t enjoy it as much as I would’ve liked.
TMNT is actually not too shitty if you judge it by PS2 licensed game standards. Where it fails is that unlike said PS2 licensed games, it doesn’t have local co-op annoyingly. That definitely would’ve elevated it to something fun to waste an evening with the brehs. Amusingly, I think the online servers for it are still up despite the game being delisted for years now. Can’t say with 100% certainty though.
I’ll probably replay Transformers right before GOW:R comes out. Don’t see it changing rankings though. Really enjoyed it back in the day.
