I've been to the Jim Beam distillery, and even it is unimpressive.  The only good thing to come out of Jim Beam is Wild Stag because you can drink it straight at parties.

Otherwise, my lowest shelf bourbon is Maker's.

I just bought my first bottle of Blanton's a few weeks ago.  It is simply amazing.  I'm always a fan of Maker's 46.  The same day I went to the Jim Beam distillery, I also went and took a tour of Maker's.  They were giving out samples of 46 and telling us it wasn't even out on shelves yet.  It's amazing bourbon.

As a homebrewer, I'm impressed that Bud Light can be made in massive batches all over the world and it always tastes the same. It's still shit, though.

That's my go to cheap brew as well. I'll concede that bud light has superior drinkability (they have it down to pure science) though. I cant drink a lot of beer. Honestly it makes me gassy/bloaty. Must be the asian thing.

I love the samuel adams limited batch. I'm working on a case of the Black Ipa its so good. And the gingerbread stout omg its spicy and got a bit of hit due the ginger brew.

The school recently layedoff a bunch of secretaries.  The philo secretary ended up having to cover 2 other departments, including linguistics, so I'm thinking that's the hold up.  Which sucks because I'm waiting on four classes that are either philo or ling.

i love how a bunch of people are just turning in papers for my online course after the due date and are still posting in the forum for participation credit.  People did this shit for my study abroad course last year too, just turned it in a month after, still got As, while I busted my ass to get it turned in on time.

So I pulled myself out of bed this morning at 6am because I realized the 3 hours I had spent in bed coughing and blowing my nose weren't giving me any rest.  At 8:45am, I called my work to tell them that I was dead in the water and I wasn't going to make it in today.  This was over 4 hours before my shift started and the opening manager had only been there 15 minutes.

The store manager, who I've become pretty good friends with called me a moment ago and told me that I needed to bring in a doctor's excuse for today when I came back tomorrow.  This is not a store policy and has not been asked of any other employee who has called in.  Told the guy that I wouldn't have a doctor's excuse because I just started working there and I don't have health insurance yet.  He said he still needed one and practically hung up on me after that.

I spoke to a friend of mine who now works at another store, but used to work at mine with this manager and he said it's just a mood swing.  He said that I did everything the right way because I gave them so much ample time to find a replacement for me, and that it shouldn't matter anyway (like I had already assumed) because I wasn't a vital manager to the shift.  I'm not opening, I'm not closing, and there aren't any times when there wouldn't already be a shift manager there. 

Apparently, this guy is the type that wants you to come in and show him that you're sick so he can send you home.  I just assumed that my method of calling in 4 hours before my shift started so they could find a replacement in time (which they did with a lot of time to spare) would be better for the store's operations.  I guess I was wrong?

tl;dr My boss is being a dick today because I'm sick.

Back in the day I'd buy frozen bags of mixed berries.  I'd eat a whole bag.  I produced so much obnoxious gas from eating it that when I'd wake up at night to take a piss, it'd damn near knock me out when I went back to my room.  It was like a solid wall of ass but they were damn good berries so I ate a bag a day for a long time.
