Reaction to the first 36 pages seems to be good, there is a three-way phone conference tonight at 7PM EST to determine the fate of the next 60. It looks like there is going to be a 14 - 21 day deadline to finish a full draft, then rapid revisions. They are pretty seriously about wanting to film something by next fall.

The floor is all ripped out and dug down far enough for drain lines. The sink and the shower lines will fit, but the connecting pipes aren't low enough for a standard floor drain toilet, so now we have to buy a back outlet toilet... these suckers aren't cheap. $600 for the only version Kohler makes, as opposed to the $300 Kohler we were going to buy. Oh well, it's only money.

was at the williamsburg waterfront for the pool parties and it was pretty nuts.  they shut down the show 10 minutes after the first act went on and told everyone to flee the park because of lightning

Yeah they're okay, but they can't compare to their hamburgers. Anyone here ever tried their bacon and blue cheese hamburger? I don't even know how blue cheese tastes, so I don't know what to expect.

I'm using this beat up fan to keep me cool (since I'm letting my sister use my small made for a single room Walmart AC). This fans protective grill (that keeps lil' kids from touching the kids) won't stay on due to the little plastic snap on things being broken. So I've got this stupid fear of the three connected blades flying off while I sleep and hitting me in the face. Its up there with scared of things that'll explode in my face that never do (like my TV, or when my computer makes horrific noises or when someone is working on a high voltage device), that intense moment of anticipation as someone squeezes a balloon so it'll pop and scurrying through a dark hall a little faster than usual cause there's always someone creepin' on ya.

Bah, even if this thing goes through, we're talking a production with a $5 million budget. Whitta did way better with his first spec script than I can possibly imagine, and a billion things could go wrong between now and Cannes. I do like the folks we've assembled.

If anything cool happens, you'll be the first to know. My goal is to make a legit production, so we can going to San Diego Comic-Con and I can ask Jonah Hill to sit in on the panel and pretend to be me.

Thanks. I will say this, I can't claim sole credit if the flick turns out good, because a lot of the stuff written is referenced from better films. If it turns out remotely good, it's because it has a good director and good production team behind it - not because of me. I feel confident about the latter, and we're trying to figure out if this is best suit with some directors we have worked with. Or maybe a fresh face. Dunno.
