I'm kinda shocked that the Fukushima reactor is in so much danger. German reactors all have an automated failsafe that basically shoot control rods and moderators into the core, partly actively, partly by relying on gravity. This more or less fucks up the core, but stops the reaction reliably. I wonder why the reactor hasn't shut down yet. I hate this.

My graphics card is doing... things. Horrible things.
All I'm doing is scrolling up or down; some parts of the site just stay frozen right where they are. Goes away after a few moments, but it's definitely noticeable. Sometimes there's even corruption:

Strangely enough this has only shown up in Opera... so far. Maybe it's a bug introduced in a recent update? Anyone else have this problem? Please tell me my VGA RAM is still OK and that the bork borks at Opera just fucked things up. I'm not ready yet for an upgrade.

Also, my hdd is full so I can't make a backup.

Only feasible solution would be to buy a new hdd for like 5 pence and stick it up my PCs innards, but... do I really want to tempt myself with, say, 1TB of free virginal space? Void of any content? I'll probably start downloading random crap just because I have the Gibibytes to spare.

Actually it's probably the other way around with regards to Eric P's bias. It's been mentioned before that Eric P is very sensitive about racist, sexist, and other similarly offensive remarks. He said on the Borecast that he hates LOTR because white/black dichotomy is inherently racist.

It's too bad that Eric probably misinterpreted some of my remarks for hatin' when they were really just for LULZ.

Like I said before, some of my posts are ignorant. I do it for shock value. Hate it or love it. I'm cool either way.

The prob is nothing is more appealing than a MacBook Air right now, and they are fixed price so no point buying here. Hmm. Will check out Best Buy or something and see what is available I guess. I could use a back-up for my work, in case my main desktop goes down. Using my wife's Macbook Pro in the meantime but she really needs it more than I do.

Fry's - will ask. I'm in Irvine right now, staying with friends. He's another yellow fever-stricken whiteboy and yes we do all speak ching chong when out as a group with our wives and kids. It has raised a few eyebrows but is very convenient for pointing out BBWs and such.

I approve of Whole Foods bacon btw. Mmm mmm. Restaurants have all been somewhat lacking so far. Americans just don't seem to get food. You don't just pile a huge amount of 7 things that taste good individually onto a plate and hope. Tokyo restaurants >>>>> California restaurants so far. Luckily my friend is a great cook so we've been eating great at home. We're hoping the rain will stop tonight so we can do some grilling on the deck.
