Went to a local Six Flags the other day with the girl. I hadn't been to one since i was a little kid and figured what the hey. Back then I definitely was not a fan of roller coasts or rides in general but I figured since I'm older now I may be down.

NOPE.
I wasn't even in the park and I started having mild anxiety attacks at the thought going on one.
When we were in the park she started to coax me a bit to go on one of the milder coasters and I was beginning to build enough courage. But she had this idea to put me on a really tame ride that just goes in a circle and up and down a bit which would ease me into the idea.

Well that didn't work. Instead the little babby ride did the opposite. I was actually prepared to go on the coaster before this little ride but after? Nah son.

She felt so bad and so did I for bringing her here for no reason. Luckily enough it started raining and we bailed.

Long story short. Fuck Amusements Parks and fuck Rides

^^^ all very true. Since I Left You has an amazing effervescence to it that I don't think another album can match. At least I can't think of one off the top. The whole vibe of that record is just...free form and without care. Never stops to linger, even when you kind of want it to. Always pushes on to something fresh and new and just as perfect. There's a consistency to it despite how much they play around.

I'm still more of a slow/dark vibe dude though. Shit that slowly fills your mind with sound and pools in the deepest recesses of your soul like molasses. So I lean more Endtroducing... than Since I Left You. Not that you can go wrong putting on either. Both are in the conversation for GOAT.

As some tender loving care / identity redevelopment I've been listening to a lot of my favorite albums / symphonies in the car while I drive for work and this aspect of Since I Left You makes it so hard to listen to (REALLY listen to) while not entirely focusing on it. It's something you don't notice about it until you've tried to listen to it with your attentions elsewhere. I found it very unexpected (thanks to some misplaced elitism on my part I imagine). I plowed through Thunder, Lighting, Strike and suddenly felt like I'd hit a (beautiful) brick wall and was constantly backing up my player to listen to tracks again and again just to get a hold of them, not because I wanted to listen to them again.

e: Today I was listening to T.S.O.L.'s Dance With Me... I can't say that's an album a grown-ass man should be singing along with. At least now I know that goes into the "from my youth" pile. Do I have to give up my Misfits jacket now too?

Usually I try to avoid doing anything on Sundays but a few hours ago I got a "hey what are u doing" call from my lady friend. I told her I was making tacos and she asked if she could come over.

So the tacos turned out better than expected. Typically I'll put more time into making my beans, but I just used canned ones this time+garlic+some cajun seasoning. Sauteed some mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers. Added (uncooked) spinach, sliced tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, and some nice salsa on top. I apologized again for the laziness of it and that's when

Went to bed last night thinking I'm going to pass out, I was so fucking dizzy and couldn't really keep my eyes open. After last years miscarriage things have been tough for me and my lady, moving country, losing a pregnancy and some other stuff. Thank god we love each other a lot and we made it through.

Now tomorrow we have an early scan again and I'm shitting my pants everything goes well this time. Family and friends know nothing of this.

Just 3 weeks before our wedding, if there is no heartbeat again I really hope we can at least block it till after the wedding cause it would be such a sad day otherwise.

The thought of another miscarriage is just afwul, I dunno how we would go through it again.
