The TSA at my local airport is being downgraded to a single lane. Since I did PreCheck and only have to go through the metal detector, they give it to me to signify that I don't need to go through the body scan. I didn't know last time because I was first line and it was the first time they were implementing it.

My wife and myself want to go mostly vegetarian, mostly because of the treatment of animals, but the environmental reasons would be a nice bonus.

The thing is, if you go vegetarian and dig a little deeper, you realize how fucked up the production of milk (and eggs for that matter) is.

So in theory we should go vegan, but we both can't bring ourselves to that yet.

You don't have to quit cheese entirely to make an environmental impact, just consume cheeses every once in a while. Make it a special occasion thing, like when you go out to eat or something.

You will miss it. You will miss it terribly especially if you're someone who ate cheese every day or rely on cheese to make food taste better. Even being so lactose intolerant to the point where I feel like I'm dying every time I consume dairy, I still miss it. Vegan cheeses are yummy but they aren't the same and the best ones are also pretty fucking expensive (treeline, chao, kite hill). Cheese is just a super convenient flavor enhancer to dishes. It sucks when you make food that is missing something and a type of cheese could easily fix it. Its definitely hard to do, but not impossible.

Its not that bad!! Its definitely not "pizza" but its still yummy. I actually prefer pizza without cheese now, its so much less greasy. I try to keep "Go Veggie" vegan parmesan in hand for when we order pizza cause it helps give it that pizza essence and that shit is pretty good for a fake parm.
