I didn't leave because of Donkey Kong, but I'm glad you bought the cover story.  I'm really shocked so many actually believed I left over an argument about Donkey Kong, but I'm constantly finding myself pleasantly surprised at the average gamer's ability to limbo under my low expectations. 

But, how seriously do I take games?  Like, nowadays?  Not very.  Just under two years ago I lost my job, set up my own business (which is not terribly easy for a solo foreigner), I work seven days a week running the thing, and I'm getting married in August.  I don't really have time to stay on top of gaming anymore, and it honestly doesn't really bother me that I don't.  Most of my gaming time is playing games with my soon-to-be stepson, and as I'm not a manbaby, we play what he wants to play.

I still love gaming, of course.  I love the hobby.  I love playing stuff.  But, y'know, it's not really about me anymore.  Or maybe you don't know.  But all the Bore dads know what I mean.  Sure, I come on here and bust chops for shits and giggles between appointments and classes, or when I'm on the shitter.  But, real talk?  The last couple of years I've learned a lot of things about priorities and about how I want my internal state to be, and as a result, I've seriously mellowed out.

Not to say I don't genuinely spazz out from time to time, of course.  Like I said, we all do it sometimes.  But I would say it's considerably more rare than you guys probably figure due to the joke character I put on here most of the time.  I just don't have the fire in my belly anymore.  I guess what I'm saying is, a five?  Out of ten?  Yeah, a five out of ten is good, I guess.

There's no forum it's just flagged messages, profiles and pics and there is a section that tells us what is to be deleted or left alone. Yet people still fucking fail and want to leave stuff alone that is to be deleted or vice versa. And there is a particular brand of stupid fucking mod who insults the "flaggers" (those who report the messages) instead of just doing what they're supposed to.

I was the head mod on the one of the biggest squaresoft fansites when I was teenager.

i mean, between the staff politics (yes, really), banning of idiots, all that shit, it was fun for a while but slowly turned into a second job. the site owner gave us quotas, and we had to make x amount of threads and warn y amount of users every month and report every single thing.

i have no clue how gaf runs with so few mods for such a big site
