Some dudes would get mad that women have the audacity to cover their drinks at bars with their hands. How offensive. 

I don't know why that thread is all about drugging drinks in the first place. If someone, male or female, covered their drink when I started talking to them, I would assume its because I'm chucking spittle or they have had that happen in the past. Bar lighting can sometimes make it very visible if it does happen.

But no lets have pages of man angst over a potentially trivial nothing and then cry in the dating threads about striking out at bars.

I hold tumblers like that even a table full of pals but it still strikes me as stupid that they would get offended even if she was doing that to prevent something being slipped in. Other people can do it while she's talking to you. Then again I shouldn't be surprised nor this annoyed since it takes a certain level of socializing and self-awareness that some gaffers seriously lack yet still feel the need to post their asinine opinions.

I became aware that it was a thing when I almost got the shit beat out of me when I passed a guy the drink he was reaching for. 

We were on a packed dance floor, no room to move.  He was looking away and reaching for it, but it was out of his reach, there was someone in between us, and I was closer to it. I pick it up and put it in his hand, he looks over and starts yelling and getting in my face, asking why I touched his drink and asking me if I thought it was his girl's drink.  I told him I'd buy a new drink, thinking he was germophobic or something
