Disagree. SR2 has better story and villains. Each gang arc is great and long, and has weight. SR3's gangs go out way too fast, and no one really feels like a threat. It feels like their blew they load too early, especially in the case of Loren. Especially compared to SR2. Shaundi has been reduced from weed smoking stoner who has EVERYONE as an ex who steals Pierce's ideas to...an angry bitch with zero personality. Oleg and Kinzie are the only good new Saints. Angel and ZImos are boring and underused and add nothing to the gang. Killing off Johnny Gat is silly, even IF Daniel Dae Kim is busy. Johnny Gat is the ORIGINAL OG buddy from Saints Row 1. Killing him off with such little fan fare is distinguished mentally-challenged. The choices added to the storyline are stupid, and add nothing to the game. I am playing Saints fucking Row. Get "choice" out of my sandbox games and leave that vapid shit to rpgs. Sandbox games are about getting my cake and rubbing it all over my hairy chest, not depriving me of content.

That said, SR3's campaign is better in that the mission design is killer.

The bad part of SR3's story is that just a few tweaks here and there, and maybe a few more missions and cutscenes and it'd be perfect. I think that Daniel Dae Kim not having enough time for the story really made them have to go back and rearrange the script.

What they did to Shaundi is the worst thing though. I fucking hate Shaundi in SR3. What happened?

Hard trafficking is a bitch. It's the only hard level I'm having issues with, the amount of ammo you get is pitiful and there's brutes everywhere.

you have to defend Kinzie from attacking goons.

You start off by rappelling down a building and sniping, then you get into a copter and blow dudes up. I found that I kept on damaging my homie's vehicle with the rocket launcher splash damage, you have to be quite careful.

Yeah, you have to let the enemy cars get some distance before you rocket them or you wind up damaging the person you're protecting. I kept failing the Pierce version right near the start because he'd go down in two or three hits from the cars blowing up, but the enemies barely cause any damage with their guns so it's not a real problem.

my new char is a plus sized niqqua w/ Jerry Curls. His name is Darell and he plays synth in an 80's funk band. Using male voice 2 (the afro american guy).

Whats amazing is how the different voices are effectively different characters. They react to the NPCs in such different ways. For instance the african american saints boss is totally down with Pierce, they are brothers and all that. they sung a revolting 'Sublime' duet. The british guy doesnt have a bar of that shit. He turns off the radio when Pierce wants to sing. Amazing shit.

this campaign is FUCKIN AWESOME. its like they put call of duty in my open world! not to rag on gta4 too much cuz its so old and sr2 already destroyed it, but i dont think they even had tanks in it. sr3 is explosions and insanity and over-the-top toys that make every other open world game seem fuckin simplistic and archaic in comparison. god DAMN this is good shit.

couple of quick questions tho. 1- if i upgrade a car in my garage, will all other versions in the world also have these upgrades, or will only MY car have them? 2- what's in the nite blade dlc? if its just some clothes, a bike, and a 15% discount on future dlc then thats an awful deal

Time for a second TV, dude! I have a small HDTV right next to the 40" in my living room, just for this purpose. It's small enough that it fits on a shelf under the PS3 and 360. Was thinking about upgrading to something better, in fact. Maybe another 1080P monitor...

Thanks to Lyte Edge and Sceneman for the co-op last night. I've got about 2 hours logged in the game, and 1.5 hours of that is in co-op!

What a great game. It feels more challenging than SR2 -- at least, I don't think I died much in SR2 at all, and here I've been swarmed by the territory defense survival missions. I've survived only 1 of the 4 I've tried...

Just got 100%. Need to finish up all the cheevs now. I waited to do most of the side missions are I beat the game. In hindsight that made them extremely easy. I've already bought all the damage upgrades, maxed the levels on the guns, and infinite ammo. I am a God among men in Steelport.

I can't seem to find the fart in a jar. I picked a few up and used them on the last mission but I need to get some more to get the 25 kills with fart in jar and penetrator achievement.

Lyte Edge turns out to have saved my ass in Guardian Angel; I've re-tried the mission a few times for cash, and been thwarted every time.

This morning I put on some toast and coffee, then turned on the game. Now I've got cold toast and cold coffee, since I forgot about everything for nearly two hours.
