Fine, I tried. I did draw my feet, not my most beautiful work  :doge Then I tried to draw some Lomonosov porcelain figurines since they were the first thing I noticed, after my feet.

Well, I tried. Let's hope it won't be months until the next time  ::)

Dig the line work in this

And Cindis I like yours too. Theres a dynamism, or movement, in the way you draw thats very appealing.

Thank you. You can't become an animator without mastering movement. The samples above I posted are gesture (in other words, pose) drawings from models so the entire premise of the assignment is to draw a gesture and have a sense of movement with minimum detail.

Stuff like this.

It's really fucking hard.

The goal is to be able to pull off these in 10 seconds. The ability to use minimum lines to create expression and know what you're looking at is hard af. The sketches above are from two minute times assignments. The goal is to create a gesture drawing in two minutes. Hard. As. Shit. But it's the same training renaissance painters went through so you kind of are obligated to do it by necessity.

Every other day I
step into
a place where I
tear my body apart
strand by strand
As I do this
I allow my emotions
to flow
inside of me
imbuing
potent deeply held
thoughts
into this process of
self destruction
When my body heals
these feelings become
more than just
passive thoughts
they become a part of
the very fabric of
my physical
body
-

I never realized I'd enjoy writing poems as much as i do. Its so goddamn strange.

I have no idea who this Humpty Dumpty shaped man is, but I was asked to draw a quick portrait of him so I did. Pretty weird doing it based on just one poorly lit picture since I feel like I can't tell if it really looks like him or not. Well I gave the picture to my mom who requested the portrait and she started cackling because she thought it was spot on (and wasn't expecting me to include the glass full of booze but loved it) so yay?

The other thread is too intimidating and since I've posted here before this thread is already cursed so
