Mauro Ranallo is gone from WWE. Nigel McGuiness and possibly Wade Barrett will be brought back to the NXT announce team.

Brock is also gone- his contract was not renewed- speculation is when 'Ronamania is over, they'll pay however much it takes to bring him back.

Haven't seen anything about Nigel, scuttlebutt is tho that NXT UK is back sometime this month so that may be where he comes in. Supposedly plans going forward are a 3 person booth in NXT of Vic Joseph, Barrett, and Beth which I mean, eh. The NXT announcers tend to be better because they don't have Vince yelling insanity in their ears but of those 3 the only one I enjoy is Barrett, the other two are kinda meh.

Yeah Brock's contract ended at Mania and it's probably not worth it to bring him out for 0 crowds/wall of TVs showing Klansmen. As you say I'm sure he'll be back to plague the main event scene and hold the title for ages while barely ever defending it soon enough.

-They changed his music because they want to get rid of as many songs that were made by CFO$ as possible. Apparently it's up to the wrestlers to decide and Keith was cool with it.

-They changed his look (and music choice) to "get people talking." Despite it being negative. That does sound like Vince.

-Vince wants to turn him heel as soon as possible.

The backstage reaction, as expected, has not been positive as there is a section of the roster who are livid by WWE's request

Thought about it, but after watching some videos it looks like it's too simplistic and full of stupid microtransaction crap. To be fair you can earn a lot of in-game currency pretty quickly, but it appears that all of the characters play exactly the same as each other, so one of the big complaints is it's pointless to unlock people since they all play exactly the same no matter what size they are.seems like it's just a stupid button masher It doesn't have the depth that All-Stars had and has crappy online and only leaderboards for one particular mode.

I might still try to pick it up when it's on sale for 20 bucks.

Jim Sterling did a preview video after playing it for a bit. He wasn't impressed.

Meanwhile, there are no published reviews for the game on metacritic. It may be 2K Games did not send out review copies in a timely fashion.

Jim Sterling is a huge wrestling fan -- so much so he's taken up independent wrestling as a manager. It's a lot creepy. He has a belt and a wrestling suit, etc. Whatever you think of the guy, the criticism is probably valid. But he does know wrestling.

He's gone Andy Kaufman, I think.

Dio Maddin is the former announcer. IIRC he wanted to go back to being a wrestler and they let him. But when I see him, I just think of him as the Raw announcer who got his ass kicked by Brock.
