If WWE were smart (and they're not!) they'd kill Team Hell No (starting with this current angle they got with losing tonight), have D Bry prove he can tangle with the big guys starting with his former partner Kane, switch up his gimmick so he's more serious and and real like Punk, and then book him against The Rock at Mania and win.

D Bry is the most over guy on the roster. His pop goes over universally. Time to get over John Lame-a, he only has what, a few years left? And go with the future - Daniel Bryan.

It's the Johnny Saint special!  Check around 3:30

I had (and might still have) a VHS compilation of Saint from back in the day when tape trading was how you watched anything besides that week's WCW and WWF programming.  There's a match with Fit Finlay in there.  Really goofy and unique style of matwork, and a golf-clapping crowd that was about as far as you could get from the Memphis crowds that would have been braying for Andy Kaufman's head around the same time.

Naw, Rock is gonna win at Rumble. That is given. But we're all curious who is going to get top card at Mania and it is rumored that it will be a Rock vs Cena rematch. If Rock goes with Punk at Mania, Punk WILL win, because Rock is a part timer and can't have the belt too long since he will rarely have the time to show up at Raw. Whoever ROck faces at Mania, he will lose to for that reason. It makes more sense to go with Punk, who is just now working on his WWE legacy, than Cena, who is a 12 time champion.

Seriously fuck Cena. The more I see of that guy the more it's harder for me NOT judge him as a person and not a character.

Because it's John Cena. Even if other guys are more deserving and need that push, the WWE revolves around him and everything he's been involved in for the past year has been busy work getting him ready for The Rock rematch. I expect his feud with Ziggler to just end come the Rumble when Cena tosses a banana peel out in front of him causing Ziggler to do a 360 flip out of the ring or something equally embarrassing for the future WHC. I mean shit, Ziggler could even get a dirty win over Cena last night and he used all his moves (his superkick looks really nice, by the way).

The Rock wins at the Rumble and takes the title into Elimination Chamber where he faces Cena, Punk and two randoms. Cena almost wins but there's some screwy interference and Rock retains. This sets up Cena vs Rock for the title (Cena wins it, duh) and Punk goes on to either not be in WM29 or faces Lesnar, Undertaker, Randy Orton or a returning superstar like Christian or Mark Henry.

but they've had punk as champion for a STRAIGHT YEAR from calendar to calendar and he talks about RESPECT and BEST IN THE WORLD. In order to end the storyline, and pass the torch, CM PUNK HAS to beat the Rock to get his belt back. WWE writers CAN'T be that short sighted.

Oh wait.

Someone please upload the pipe bomb promo from tonight PLEASE.

Well Rock is also going to be at Elimination Chamber apparently.

So there's a sliver of hope that Punk leaves RR with the championship. Will he will clean? Probably not. Will he win at all? Probably not. But I can see a scenario in which Cena wins the RR and then Rock wins the championship at EC and then Punk gets wrapped up in another feud about respect going into WM.

Ideally, I want the thing to come full circle. Right now Punk's character is deplorable in how he treats the crowd. The peoples champ has to win rumble for that reason. After, Punk should make a face turn, have Rock do a heel turn (heel Rock is GOAT Rock), lose Elimination Chamber bout with Rock retaining and have Rock vs Punk 2 at WM. Have Punk go over The Rock to finally have Punk gain respect and fulfill his legend.

From a storyline perspective it is the best route. I also think from a quality perspective it is the best they got now.

I want Bryan versus Punk at King of the Ring with Bryan coming over Punk. Punk unlike Cena is willing to put over guys. Especially Bryan. As far as I'm concerned after last night, Punk, for mentioning Brodus, Tyson, and Daniel is the real face of the company. Fuck Super Cena and his faggotry.

Boring-ass show until the very end.  I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to keep sitting through this garbage after Mania.  The Ladder match was insanely-predictable.  They should have at least have had Punk NOT wear that Rock catchphrase parody shirt until after that match.

What Punk said before the Rock came out was awesome, but after the Rock came out, he slipped up a bit too.  He also looked like a little boy compared to the larger/bulkier Rock.

I think the overall show sucked aside from Pipe bomb/punk vs Rock.

Ziggler, the guy they're pushing now, hit Cena with his finisher TWICE, Cena still kicks out, Big E came out and laid out Cena with his finisher, CENA STILL KICKS OUT. Cena hits Ziggs with Attitude Adjustment and wins? Bullshit. Way to bury and not put someone over taco.

Big Show squash match again Kofi in 18 seconds? What the fuck. I'm not even a huge Kofi fan and he doesn't deserve that.

Cesaro vs Khali rematch was good. Nice to show the denizens of Raw the GAWD.

Wade Barrett and Santino? Santino sucks. Get rid of his ass. Steamboat owns though.

3mb matches? Yeah lets not make our younger guys look good AT ALL.

I agree that if it is still like this after Mania I may go on break.

Forget Punk, Ziggler calling out Cena for brushing off his losses and making stupid jokes was right on the money.  He is beyond stale now.  Either give him a new gimmick or turn him fuckin' HEEL again.  Cena stuff is so boring.

I also couldn't believe they had the ladder match around 10:00 PM...when it ended there was still 40+ minutes left on the show and all the other "big matches" already happened.

I can seen myself just stopping the TV shit but still checking out some of the PPVs.

At one point all Punk kept saying was "I'm gonna kick your ass!" and he looked pretty small compared to the Rock.  He just kept repeating himself and it brought his promo down.  The Rock still has that level of intensity that keeps his promos strong, even when filled with catch phrase crap.  Most of the modern guys don't have that.

Big E. reminds me of a bear stuffed into a marshmallow (:heart)

I don't have a DVR or I would do that.  I could just wait for the show to air then watch footage on Youtube or wherever, sure, but I like seeing this stuff live...even when it's shitty as usual.  That's why I rarely ever watch any of the other 'E shows.

Typically there's probably 10-15 minutes, if THAT, of stuff I like on RAW.

The thing about Punk's promo is that he shat on smarks AND casuals. The genius of the promo is that it is both kayfabe and also breaking kayfabe. Like, the Hogan and Bruno part was total Kayfabe as well as an obvious work,  but it was also TRUE.

Also the E is starting to pimp guys with much more smaller frames that have a history in the Indies. Guys like Punk, Bryan, Rollins, Ambrose.. and if rumors are true, El Generico, recently. It is clear they are trying to go after indie talent and make it more edgy after Punk's initial 2011 pipe bomb promo. It seems to me that is how they are going invest their future and according to the grapevine it is all on HHH pressing the button.

Also there are many reason to watch WWE now. Cesaro is one. Face Del Rio is another. The Shield as well.

As for acrobatic moves...he will have a smaller move palette but it will still standout. Guys like Kofi, Sin Cara are pretty high flying. Hell, Ricardo did an I'll drop kick the other day. The hype behind generico is that he is being billed.as.the last true baby face in wrestling and people love him unanimously even smarks.

Also you're wrong on the Punk thing. The 2011 pipe bomb was what propelled him into the spotlight to begin with. Punk now sells the most merch, after Cena. His first promo didn't fall on deaf ears at all. People clearly listened.

You should be watching The Shield. As a Joker and TDK fan especially. :teehee

PWI confirms Generico has been signed.

Also you're wrong on the punk thing. WWE after pipe bomb promo was the first time in years the media gave a shit about them. ESPN called Punk and did interviews and all types of shit. I heard about it from non wrestling news.

Also La Parka and Kid man :bow my wcw cruiser weight division. :bow

If anything you should be watching Shield for their wrestling ability. The Shield vs Ryback/ D Bry/ Kane was WWE match of 2012.

WWE has signed El Generico to a deal, PWInsider.com confirmed this morning. As we noted several months back, the company has had interest in him and it's been Generico's goal since not signing with Ring of Honor to get into the company.

One of the reasons WWE was so interested in Generico was that he speaks a number of different languages. The feeling was that would in handy as an asset for international markets.

Generico was removed from this weekend's Pro Wrestling Guerrilla event in California and it appears may already be done on the independent scene. He returned to Ring of Honor at Final Battle 2012 in what may prove to be his last-ever match with longtime partner/rival Kevin Steen.

Generico's signing is said to be part of a bigger WWE plan as the company has a number of names on their radar that they want to lock in for deals. I am told it's a Triple H move and that there will be a lot more signings to come, as long as those the company are interested in can pass the necessary medical exams.
