We all know how Benoit's story ended.  It was tragic.  We're not here to dispute that fact, or glorify his death.  I know there are conspiracy theories, and have been since his death, that he was murdered and it was a frame job.  I know many feel that all Nancy had to do was tapout.

 

Chris Benoit had one of the most storied careers in wrestling history, has held more titles than many other Hall of Fame entrants, and has fought against or with almost every notable name in the industry from the last quarter century.

It's time to let Benoit into the Hall of Fame

 

Those three days were the definition of tragedy.  No one disputes that.

But 3 days out of 14,644 should not erase the other 14,641 days. 

Benoit deserves a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.

 

The Hall of Fame, home to celebrities and wrestlers who were never even legendary beyond simple nostalgia, is rife with murderers, abusers, and other criminals.  So why not Chris Benoit?

If any of the names you mentioned murdered their wife and child (and then themselves), 100% absolutely they should be erased. If someone thinks Benoit can murder their family member and they can "compartmentalize it" maybe they care about wrestling a little too much. Maybe that person should analyze how much they actually like/love their family compared to entertainment.

"There are murderers and rapists in the HOF so why not Benoit" is actually the most valid argument, which says everything about how horrible the HOF is.

Hall was a bouncer and a guy at the  bar got turned down by a woman and caused a scene and got....bounced. He then went out and broke all the windows out of Hall's car. Hall confronted him, the guy pulled a gun, the gun went off and the guy ended up dead.
