i do disagree with anita on bayonetta. bayonetta is clearly a satire of the male pornographic gaze, as bayonetta herself is represented as anything but a victim. her only problematic component is the dominatrix visual fetishism that damages that satire, but it still works: despite the male gaze, bayonetta continues to both ignore and control it, utterly unvictimized by it at any point in the game. she is a flawed but worthy example of sexual empowerment, which is a component of feminism many self-titled feminists botch entirely when they misconstrue any female sexual presentation as victimization.
