UK Labour supporters have got to be some of the dumbest motherfuckers this world has ever produced. Corbyn was a fuck up of a leader and clearly not ever in with a shot of being PM considering he lost to a literal bumbling fool. But still, keep fighting the good fight you idiots, keep demanding Corbyn be the alternate PM and one day you'll realise he's never going to win, was never going to win, will never win...ever.

SPD "wins" but there will have to be at least a three party coalition.

SPD victory is another win for Russia as they are about to take Kosovo with the Serbs.
Will Biden protect Kosovo or flee like he did in Afghanistan?

Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab has suggested offenders who have been given community sentences could be used to address the country’s lack of HGV drivers amid continuing concerns about fuel shortages.

This sounds like a brilliant idea!

Our treasury secretary already caught in the storm.
Apparently he had a small position in a tax haven and so did a friend of his, who he later appointed to a position at a nationalized bank.
He sold his interest before he became secretary and donated to charity. But his explanation is rather weak and boils down to: "I didn't know what it was before I invested".

The BBC is so blatant with their propaganda these days. They didn't even explain how Putin is involved, yet they've got his picture practically front and center on the front page and top of the article...

If somebody asked me to design a caricature to illustrate why the entire world, including the rest of the UK, hates the English, I would just draw Boris Johnson.

He's a toff that behaves like a chav whose combined arrogance and ignorance often strays over the line into actual racism. He's completely oblivious to the actual place of Great Britain in the modern world pecking order and somehow believes that people look up to the English people just because a few centuries ago the English exported their culture all around the world while raping and pillaging for their own benefit.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
I know quite a few Englishmen and all of them are, without fault, good people. It amazes me that somehow they have ended up with this bloke as their PM...and that the alternative was an anti-Semite Communist who had the charisma of a wet fart.

Energy prices are so wild and the UK bill cap is so low that companies are literally committing identity theft to LOSE their own customers :lol

https://twitter.com/guardiannews/status/1446488035487588376

Quote
the Guardian has seen communications indicating that the company began manually signing customers up with rival suppliers such as Bulb and Scottish Power without telling them, using their personal details to open new accounts.

Both Bulb and Scottish Power have investigated the switches and are cancelling them, meaning the customers will revert to Omni.

One industry source said they were “utterly speechless” at what had happened and suggested the “outrageous” behaviour may have breached data protection laws, as well as energy regulator Ofgem’s licence conditions.

I suppose buying a football team is at least a better use of his country's money than spending half a billion on an unimpressive and possibly forged piece of art just to leave it hanging in your superyacht.

Quote
For those who missed Matt Hancock's announcement yesterday, the UK's former health secretary tweeted that he was taking up a new role with the United Nations as a special representative.

Hancock, who resigned from his cabinet post four months ago for breaking social distancing guidelines by kissing a colleague, says the job will focus on helping Africa's economy recover from Covid.

The under secretary general of the UN, Vera Songwe, praised his "success" in tackling the pandemic.

She told him in a letter: "The acceleration of vaccines that has led the UK [to] move faster towards economic recovery is one testament to the strengths that you will bring to this role, together with your fiscal and monetary experience."

The announcement came on the day a report from MPs was published, claiming the government and its scientists' failure to do more to stop Covid spreading early in the pandemic was one of the country's worst public health failures.

I wonder if the UN have CCTV in their offices

Tensions are running high. The EU has submitted a new plan to ease a number of restrictions but it is not enough to get approval from the UK.

A number of EU countries including the Netherlands have met to draft plans on what to do if the British activate article 16 (which is a clause that allows them to unilaterally suspend the Northern Ireland protocol).
On the table are additional taxes on British imports, denying the UK access to the EU energy market and even scrapping the Brexit deal all together.
