Gamecube WISHES it had Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Otogi, Spikeout, Ninja Gaiden, Outrun 2, GunValkyrie, Chronicles of Riddick, Breakdown, Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate, Crimson Skies, Halo,  the best versions of multiplat games, Xbox Live in its infancy, and more.

Shat all over that GamePube.

Combined with ps2, and GC should have been nothing more than pick up at Gamestop at the end of the generation for 50 dollars status.

The only GC games best in their class were REmake and Resident Evil 4, and you can play those on other systems now. Mario Sunshine was outdone by its ps2 and xbox peers. Jak trilogy, Ratchet trilogy, and Sly Cooper made Mario look mighty old. Jet Set Radio Future made it look laughable. Zelda Wind Waker was outdone by games like Shadow of the Colossus and even Okami.

The one thing I'll give Gamecube is that it had Metroid Prime, which is half a great game up till a certain point, and the BEST version of Killer 7. So two things.

Gamecube couldn't even do Metal Gear Solid right. Most of its worth while games were Dreamcast ports.

my friend owned a gamecube, it mostly was a mix of sega games (including the occasional dreamcast port like sonic adventure and this volleyball game that rarely seems to get mentioned on the internet) and melee, we played lots of melee

i bought the console much later on his life (it was only 99$, i think it's the cheapest console i've ever got) and played baten kaitos,skies of arcadia and chibi robo, i really loved chibi robo

The best thing about Gamecube was when Beach Spikers was marked down to 10$ at Best Buy. My friends and I bought every copy we could find then returned them to various Wal Marts where they were still 50$. I think one of those stores still had 8 copies of it years later.

that bigass list is actually missing one of the 7 GC games I bought, Warioware. Multiplayer is the best on the system, single player isn't worth it if you're not a series fanatic cuz it's mainly a port of the GBA original.

No way in hell were the Sony platformers better than Sunshine. The retro levels alone shit on any platforming Naught Dog or Insomniac ever did.

As overall products, they definitely were.

Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando makes Mario Sunshine look antiquated by comparison.

I got to play them for the first time with the HD collection and they're the real deal, made me upset that I never picked them up when they came out. A Crack in Time is just as good, never played QFB or the retail one before it.

Jak and Daxter games aren't so hot though. First game is an alright platformer, second and third game are  . II was so bad that it put off playing games for a while.

The combat in ED Goddam. I actually think that game is mad overrated, and pretty ugly even back then. You could tell that shit started development on the N64, unlike Star Fox Adventures and RE0.

ED's story and writing was pretty good tho.

I like Windwaker, but it can get really boring to play at times due to how easy it is. I even did a three-heart run once just to spice things up and still beat it without dying. Quarter hearts in a zelda game is just wait too ez-mode.

The way zelda fans desperately cling to wind waker is sad. It was unfinished, rushed, slightly above average entry in a long running series. Why do people love this game so much? I even say it as someone who likes it. And I wouldn't use it as proof of anything, much less proof that GameCube is a better console than your favorite.
