My dog has been reportedly limping a bit when going for long walks. I have never seen this since said long walks are always done by my wife or my mother. If I walked the dog 30 minutes or so, she's fine. The dog runs and jumps all over the place daily. I suggested that maybe she was hurting herself because she sometimes slips on the hardwood floors in our place when trying to jump up on the couch or the bed.
So we bought some rugs last weekend. Stuck one halfway under the bed and put the other in front of the couch. She has more traction now although I'm told she's still limping on walks. I have no idea what the fuck they are talking about. My mother, worried, makes an appointment for x-rays at the vet.
So I say
"has anyone tried walking the dog without the harness you guys always force her to wear? Have you ever thought about why the dog hates it so much and runs away when you take it out?"My wife goes and walks the dog for over an hour. No problems. Everyone is like

. I really want to know why the vet didn't think to suggest this.

The dog went in about a month ago and was prescribed meds that were clearly not needed.
