If I have to hear "but they worked so hard, you don't know" one more goddamn time, I'm going to scream. A ton of people work really hard on things. Peter Jackson nearly killed himself on The Hobbit movies. Jared Leto goes full method acting and has never once turned in a performance better than your average middle school production of Annie Oakley: The Meanest Bitch Out West. Everybody who has cranked out a game that didn't go through Greenlight has worked really hard, yet we've still got games like Daikatana and Destiny as end results.
Working like, totally hard and stuff, does not denote quality. Sean and Co worked hard on a game? Great. It still failed on nearly every conceivable level and given how much he's lied, I don't believe a single word about how it's totally going to get better. I wanted to have fun with this, but the first time I shot a rock and the rest of it just stood there floating in the mid air, a piece of me died. Surely the spaceship sequence would be better? Nope. Fly an unwieldy vehicle and maybe shoot some rocks. Find another planet, shoot some rocks.
What do you do in No Man's Sky? We finally have an answer. Mostly wish you were playing something better.
