The main thing that changed was there was more focus on shitting on the United States culturally and our way of life. No one or almost nothing in Los Santos is painted in a positive light. The dude even changed his argument to "women and non white people lack depth with characterization, that's the issue".
When have any character besides the main character(s) and a couple of side characters in a GTA gotten characterization? If the scope in which people criticize it is "women, gays, non whites are being made fun of" rather than "the vast majority of the United States, how we operate and live as a society", they're sorta not getting the bigger picture.
Its not like Italian Americans, Eastern Europeans, Polish people, and Albanians weren't made fun of in GTA IV. GTA V takes place in a city that has a ton of vanity, expecting anything other than vane people doing vane things is dumb.
