The issue is that people have been given a platform but they have no idea of the effort it takes or how creative process works.  So you get shit like "It's just location and items, Multi-player should have taken a week at most!" Or people that think you can custom tailor characters to fit whatever agenda you might have, when really memorable characters evolve and aren't made to a checklist. It's that whole if you give people power and no responsibility they turn into monsters. They complain and complain and complain and then when you say, "Do it yourself then." they either never try, start a project they never finish, or produce a heaping pile of shit.

I can't get art commissioned anymore?

Of course you can, because you're open to it. The expectation that every form of art should be open to is else face the wrath of the internet... well that's the problem. It blows my mind how entitled fans/fandoms are about their art, and how aggressive and abusive they can be towards the creators if they don't do things the way the fans think it should be done.
I can't accept this. The creators own the art, I own the creators through my pirated copies of their work. Therefore, I own the art.

Joking aside, I think some of it has to do with over-identifying with the work. These fans put so much of themselves into the series that it becomes a part of them and if it doesn't go their way, they get mad. It's like that one GAF user who thought he was Serah from FFXIII.

I think the second demo and the PS E3 demo might have tempered expectations there.

Wait, in rpg non-NPC fields, what is there to do besides fight monsters and maybe harvest items or pick up collectibles?  Like am I missing some new exciting content that some rpgs have started including?

I left this part out of the Nintendo cycle: getting hyped about random game listings from retailers, 99% of which never come to fruition (unless it's obvious shit like "MARIOKART FOR NX")

Even sadder is if it is a photoshop so you have Nintards scrambling around on the site for hours trying to find it, lying to themselves saying that a dingdong broke an ironclad NDA and that Kingdom Hearts III is totes coming to the NX guise!  Although it better have exclusive content over the PS4/Xbone version or else it's shit and they refuse to buy it!

Solving dungeon puzzles? Riding transportation? Card games? (Draw points hidden in certain areas in FF8?) JRPGs could change up the game play formula a little, it's not like it hasn't been done.

Because despite their claims of making their own engine the game actually runs on a slightly customized version of Unity which uses OpenGL to maximize the number of platforms it can run on.

Source now, because if it's actually Unity...  :yuck (Not that I was ever going to buy it) I thought it was a modified Joe Danger engine?

It's not stock Unity, but the guy on Neogaf who was datamining the PC version (or wherever it was being datamined) found that it was clearly Unity.

Saw NMS is on track to sell like a million+ copies at $60, normally speaking that is fucking baaaank for a team of like 4-20 people on an indie game for a couple of years.

On the other hand, Sony spent like $$$ on marketing so it'll be interesting to see how much it needs to sell to be a big success.  It's kind of this new BBB game where the game probably cost like $10 to make and the entire budget is simply the marketing.

Sony doesn't expect to turn profit on things like this, clearly this game is a marketing tool first and foremost.

Shit like this gets pushed to differentiate the platform.

Isn't the ability to shut-off the Pokestop/Gym's available now? If that's the case: Simply do that, if the Gym's are in areas near them: Tough shit, deal with it. The only legit complaint they could have is the Pokemon spawning on their property. But the fact is: It's really hard to go through a thousand+ cities property data and make sure certain areas (read: non-public/private) areas are offlimits.

Some post I've read is pretty mind blowing in terms of how much they're willing to go to bat for Hello Games and Sony as if they're on their payroll. I'm still waiting for it to get sorted out on pc and probably wait a few patches and a price drop for me to dive in as currently the game looks really incomplete and kinda far off from the E3 reveal footage. I bet that the free updates will just be minor bug fixes and maybe a new gun or ship. The larger armadas and freighters will probably be in the "Armada DLC" and new ship classes will be in the "Space Fight DLC" with the introduction of friendly AI that fight alongside with you.

It's like Clannad but for early '90s shonen.

Art direction =/= character design

And HxH on the whole has great, wonderfully imaginative character design.

I'll concede that Gon's design put me off the series until the 2011 anime's 100th episode though.
