The Wii and Wii U pre-launch blowouts heavily featured a bunch of casual fair, I don't think anyone can honestly say they were "suckered" unless they were a complete idiot.
I'm more talking the hardcore GAF idiots that thought the thing would get third party support and died on the vine. That's "suckered" no matter how you slice it.
Anyone expecting Wii lighting strike-twice level of success are going to be disappointed. The fact they're charging for their shit online service now just means they're going to scare off everyone besides crazy fanboys like Andy at this point.
I will happily eat crow if proven wrong, but this is the standard Nintendo cycle. Announce console, disappoint like 90% of people that followed, get maybe 5% of sales.
