People complaining about Nintendo not competing in technology and specs will never cease to amaze me. Their philosophy from the NES days has been the same. The only Nintendo consoles to ever use "current tech" were the N64 and GC and we all know what happened there.

Their stated strategy from the NES days has been to repurpose existing technology and create a new experience for users.

I'm not complaining about it, if anything I've been skeptical of the concept of a "4k upscaling capable switch pro," go back and check. I feel like laughing at and forcibly dragging anyone who participated in speculation on such a rumor is my godgiven right as a 20+ year online Nintendo troll.

Also it's completely possible to enjoy Nintendo's games (often quite good!) and be exasperated with their choices (hardware, pricing strategies, etc) #thedualities

orrrrr they just speculated on the new OLED refresh info they got wind of that nvidia and nintendo were going to drop a new custom soc in there as well. there's no info anywhere on nvidia making new chips for a switch pro. some speculation was made over the tegra x1 chip production ramping down but otherwise there's been little to infer they have a chip to replace it with atm

There's also people who don't want to see a Switch Pro because "it will divide the userbase." Which is weird, because a theoretical Pro would just run the same games at a higher resolution, possibly with better performance. Literally like the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 is gud brehs. Super addictive, highly recommended for jrpg fans/monster raising enthusiasts.

Performance is pretty up and down on Switch but it's on PC.
