Warren doubling down on her contested convention answer on MSNBC. She said it’s important to pick the candidate to beat Donald Trump if a majority is not reached, heavily implying someone more moderate should be chosen.

I get the argument about a moderate being more electable and having better coattails, but don't they understand that that goes out the window in a brokered convention? If Bernie gets a clear plurality he is the only person with a chance because anyone else would fracture the party. And it doesn't really matter how good the arguments for picking someone else are, the results will be just as disastrous.

How do they not all understand that?

I still think a contested convention isn’t super likely. Let’s see Klobuchar stay in the race after Nevada. Warren will probably leave soon after that (assuming her numbers stay the same). Suddenly, you’re not divide the votes over as many candidates and it becomes much easier to win a majority.

Amy's going away, bloomberg is gonna lose interest after this waste of time for him. That leaves warren and bernie. They'll come out of the covention with a Bernie/Warren ticket, or Warren with the win, and Bernie running the boards for senate seats.

I thought they were well respected during their coverage of the first Gulf War, but maybe I'm wrong. Of course at the time all media was guilty of allowing censorship imposed by the U.S. military to prevent the public opinion from turning against the war like it did during the war in Vietnam by not showing gruesome images, misrepresenting it as clean.
