I had a surprisingly bad hangover earlier this week and I haven't figured out if it was the wine or the Mike's.

Either way after that I'm sticking to beer and cocktails for the foreseeable future.

I have sharply cut down on my alcohol intake overall though.

Honey's a little rough to come by, sure, but it's another fermented beverage with some nice variants.

Also, RenFaire outfits make almost any woman look better, and mead-goggles are far more dangerous than beer-goggles in this particular case.

Hendrick Gin is my favorite drink. I can drink it with a slice of cucumber straight. I love it but it's fucking insanely expensive here. First, bars normally don't have it. Second, if you buy it at a speciality liquor store It will cost around 80-90 dollars (u.s dollars) for a 750ml bottle. Insanity.

Thought about today: as I said to Herr Gundam, (a) going to work (b) on Monday and (c) it's raining. Rough start, but by the end of the day, I realized I'd been quite proactive and productive, so instead of Sober Monday, I decided to have a tipple of the Okinawan awamori a friend brought back for me, which prompted my cousin here to open a lovely bottle of junmaiginjo nihonshu that really got us going. Great night.

My incredibly gracious cousin and her husband asked if I could babysit tonight, so it's a quiet evening at home.

Had a couple konbini "craft beers" (YoHo Brewery) and then tucked into Templeton Rye: The Good Stuff and am definitely not regretting that.

Also, bad move to try and finish an audiobook, read the bire, and try to do some Playstation shopping at the same time. Time to put on some Fail Army and ride this out.

STEALTH UPDATE: The PS4 turned itself off while trying to load its TV & Video section. I blame the hamfisted inclusion of advertising the PS Vue app as a front-and-center, first position choice on the XMB. Get fucked, Sony.
