I think you underestimate the pliability of children and preteens which is mostly who these people are trying to target.
Well that's how I see it as dangerous. Kids are malleable. And a lot of them watch YouTubers who funnel this stuff.
I'm going to actually look into this theory, I've always assumed the audiences for people like Angry Joe are...himself... not kids. I imagine PewDiePie is to the point that he has broad appeal because his audience is gigantic in size, but I really don't think kids got him there.
Era has a strange complex where they assume even the dumbest of non-good media is going to hopelessly corrupt the minds of others. Look at how they demand Joe Rogan not be discussed or how a book or TV that
could be interpreted as supporting bigotry be condemned lest simple minds consume it. There is a constant whine of "I know it's not racist but others might not see it that way."
It's really just an expression of how insecure they are with their beliefs that they won't allow themselves to watch immoral material. When you live in a hive mind and the crowd proclaims "we were always at war with Eurasia/Kevin Spacey," you really can't have solid ideas. Better to pre-cancel than one day have to explain how you used to like something as problematic as Charlie Rose.
