Don't get the hostility, the OP is valid. I've personally read other minorities give out their misguided 'opinions' as if they had a say on certain issues.
The truth is...they don't. Or if they came at it with understanding the discussions would be more fruitful.
I'd never try to claim to be an authority on LGBT issues, or Asian American issues or whoever else, I'm a black straight male, or in other cases, Somali, Muslim etc.
I only speak with authority on issues that I'm familiar with in my day to day life, issues that have affected me my whole life.
Other than that I'm just here to help or empathise with fellow minorities.
Truth is some people are far too comfortable expressing their misguided opinions on black issues. And it's a bit unnerving.

Being spoiled is annoying;  i look forward to enjoying entertainment and being surprised is part of that enjoyment.  The annoyance factor increases the more I'm looking forward to the given piece of entertainment.   

It's really more kind of sad and indicative of someone not living a very full life if being spoiled on a piece of entertainment is some catastrophic event in your life.   Like I am looking forward to Game of Thrones this Sunday and would be annoyed if someone spoiled it for me but despite it being something I'm looking forward to it wouldn't ruin my week or anything.

TPC has always been super involved with the franchise. The voice actor who played Professor Oak in the 4Kids seasons said in an interview there was always a representative from Nintendo who'd sit in on the recordings who would sometimes offer his own suggestions.

It's partially self-hate for me, to be honest. I'd rather the things I say be taken and criticized at objective face value than be tinged with my race, which in my opinion would devalue it. The beauty of the Internet is that you're anonymous and you don't have to be bound by silly things like skin colour. I revel in that and to me it's very liberating. If you want to know my ethnicity for whatever reason you can look at my post history or just ask.

This forum can go overboard with asking for people's race though, it seems to define everything here. I remember in a Syrian war thread all the Americans thought they were being witty by saying things like "you just want to kill Brown people". I didn't say that I'm a brown ex-Muslim because I thought my arguments (for deposing Assad) held up on there own. I could only smack my head at the self-righteousness.

Also I was banned once for "defending homophobia" even though I'm gay, and also for "promoting slavery" (in reality, open borders but with no minimum wage) even though I'm a South Asian who grew up in a Gulf Arab country. So sometimes you are forced to preface your posts to protect yourself from dumb mods even though you might not want to.
