Thanks, my idea after sleeping on it. Was to get this change out as fast as possible while also replacing the ads with images supporting trans rights and charities. This shouldn't be a hard task as I'm just going to be replacing texture files. Which thankfully are an easy thing to replace once you figure out how it works.

Once I get it sorted out I planned to pm OP explaining all the changes I made and ask if it is ok to provide links to the mod with instructions on how to install it.

...because ultimately all this boils down to you lot not liking one piece of artwork created by an LGBTQ+ artist and you invertebrate fuckers are still going to play the game.

I find the vitriol in this topic directed agienst THQ Nordic slightly unsavory.

It's not that I want to defend them at all, it's just... it was a very stupid decision, and very possibly malevolently on their part. But all the calls for boycotts, calls for everyone involved to be fired, banned from the industry? And this happens so often. It was just a few weeks ago that people were calling for a boycott on all of Activision for their behavior in their conference call.

It just seems like resetera becomes an engine for this righteous fury that we all get caught up in. It was a monumentally bad PR decision, but my reaction to that is to just laugh at the abusrity, not call for heads.

Yeah.  There wasn't really any kind of oversight on what was allowed there, so the people that want the internet to be far more regulated than it currently is hate the place and the culture it ended up leading to elsewhere.  The existence and celebration of people like Shadman there is a testament to that.  Also, several high profile members that went on to do other stuff such as OneyNG and Psychicpebbles (making games, getting pilots on Adult Swim, etc) are largely free expression absolutists, which to some are no better than Nazi enablers.  To be fair, some of those people absolutely did go full nazi, like Emily Youcis who even ended up getting a segment on Colbert covering her for getting fired over being a white nationalist.  And there is reason to believe that the people who haven't straight up disowned Newgrounds like Egoraptor do skew closer to MAGA than they do progressive, but apolitical edgelords are probably still the majority.
