If you can't use critical thinking to discern between signal and noise, you should honestly get the fuck off Twitter for your own mental health.
The NHS app is a general purpose medical app.
Yes, it contains a record of vaccination.
Yes, it contains a record of what if any prescription medicine someone is on, and when the prescription renews / expires.
Yes, it lets you book / cancel / amend doctors appointments.
Like... What the fuck do you think the purpose of a medical history app is?
The part related to 'social / lifestyle / political' data that is tracked but stored locally for anonymity is about meta data.
If you go to a venue that has an outbreak, should you know there was one - the 'track and trace' aspect? Yes, that's how you can reduce outbreaks. There's no way of doing that without that record.
Can you infer details about someone based on where they visit if that's not anonymised? Of fucking course you can.
If someone is regularly going to a synagogue you can probably infer their religion.
If someone is regularly going to a gay bar you can probably infer their sexuality.
If someone is regularly going to a pub for hours on end and not a gym, you can probably infer something about their lifestyle.
That's what that disclaimer means and why those details are stored locally - so if there's an outbreak at your swingers club you can know to self isolate, but without telling everyone you got it at the swingers club.
