I think that a lot of this information in the video has been available for a while since I'd heard that the working environment there wasn't suited to a lot of people for a long time, but some of the things (the charity money, the way firing happens, the way games are removed) feels quite shocking to me, even if it makes sense given how the company is structured and the types of people that it is lead by.

Heres the big enchilada: boycotting the game because you don't want to give money to Rowling is perfectly reasonable, so is asking your friends and family (if you have any ) to not buy it too is also more than fair.

"But given the understandable public and parliamentary concern in this case I can confirm to parliament that this prisoner will not be incarcerated at Cornton Vale women's prison. Labour said today that Bryson should not be in a women's jail. Yvette Cooper, the shadow home secretary, said the matter was "straightforward", telling the BBC: "This dangerous rapist should not be in a woman's prison. I think it should just be really clear cut. There are legitimate safety concerns with putting biological men in female prisons -- they're not doing it because it's an extra layer of punishment.  It's not punitive, it's for safety.   Again, legit concerns voiced by women in the prison who are concerned about someone born biologically male and RAPES women in prison.  Extreme amount of privilege to not even have to think about those concerns for women, and again, why is it that when other people say, "I don't feel safe" they don't give a shit but everyone has to give a shit when they say it when someone plays a video game for kids?

Why is it weird? White cops literally murder people all the time and get a light slap on the wrist, at most. These black officers murdered a man and were fired without question. Do you not see why people are acknowledging the difference here?

There are legitimate safety concerns with putting biological men in female prisons -- they're not doing it because it's an extra layer of punishment.  It's not punitive, it's for safety.   Again, legit concerns voiced by women in the prison who are concerned about someone born biologically male and RAPES women in prison.  Extreme amount of privilege to not even have to think about those concerns for women, and again, why is it that when other people say, "I don't feel safe" they don't give a shit but everyone has to give a shit when they say it when someone plays a video game for kids?

I doubt it. Non-Black people largely do not care about Black lives, especially with regards to maintaining so-called systems of order and civility. You see it on here all the time; when the chips are down even liberals will lean into the same pro-cop rhetoric conservatives do, inherently ensuring that more of us will die.

Mild reforms will not solve this. Black people fighting and organizing for their own security and autonomy is the only solution.

A transgender woman convicted of rape this week will not serve her sentence in Scotland's only all-female prison, Nicola Sturgeon has said.

Isla Bryson, 31, is understood to be awaiting sentencing at a segregation unit at Cornton Vale women's prison in Stirling. She committed the crimes in 2016 and 2019, before her gender transition.

Sturgeon confirmed a risk assessment was being conducted by the Scottish Prison Service but said Bryson would not serve her sentence at Cornton Vale.



"It would not be appropriate for me in respect of any prisoner to give details of where they are being incarcerated," she told first minister's questions at Holyrood. "But given the understandable public and parliamentary concern in this case I can confirm to parliament that this prisoner will not be incarcerated at Cornton Vale women's prison. I hope that provides assurance to the public."


Labour said today that Bryson should not be in a women's jail. Yvette Cooper, the shadow home secretary, said the matter was "straightforward", telling the BBC: "This dangerous rapist should not be in a woman's prison. I think it should just be really clear cut. If someone poses a danger to women, has committed crimes against women, they should not be housed among women prisoners."

different people have different degrees of tolerance and anxiety triggers, I'm not quite sure why this is confusing. A person can tolerate violence enough to enjoy the gameplay but not be cool with the gory death scenes or depictions of psychosis.

Seems like an M rated game called Dead Space might not exactly be the best game to play for people with this many problems but maybe that’s just me.
