I hadn't been paying attention to Atomic Heart at all, so maybe I'm missing something, but the general idea seems to be that at least one major investment company is headed by a former Gazprom exec and currently also invests in Russia's oil/gas industry.

So we have a game that is potentially going to feed profits back into the war machine that is kinda sorta literally trying to pull a genocide on Ukranians with bombs and all, which Era intends to allow and will ban anyone for questioning.

Meanwhile saying you bought Hogwarts or think it'll sell well is literally bannable because some amount of the profits will work their way back to JKR who has done some shitty tweets and has shitty friends and is doing more of a spiritual/emotional genocide on fans.

If it reviews well, I can see this being the biggest seller of the year, outside of the usual FIFA etc. Which is a shame. Sony going all out with their marketing deal.

That aside: Zelda, Spider-Man 2, Diablo 4. Starfield will be a huge seller on Steam, but I'd imagine most will opt to Game Pass it on Xbox. Thought we weren't getting a COD this year.

That is almost certainly trolling, but it shows how ridiculous a ban on even mentioning it is. They've effectively banned sales discussion for the foreseeable future. GOTY threads too. What if the Switch version shows up on a Nintendo Direct, or DLC gets mentioned on a State of Play? Do they lock the live thread? I saw the thread title and thought it was going to be about how 90% of their retail space is taken up by Funko Pops and Marvel action figures that I've never seen anyone buy.

Sony has platformed and spread this game a billion times more than a channel like Girlfriend Reviews ever could, but they know that they actually can't hurt Sony with their whining so they go after some smaller streamer who they know they can hurt even if in the grand scheme of things it's completely irrelevant whether they stream the game or not.

B-Dubs said it should be fine to mention the games when it came to stuff like sales in other threads, but this lock message implies the game can't even be mentioned in these contexts. AFAIK the reason its pre-cancelled is because its a self described "bioshock-alike" set in a technologically supreme USSR who easily won the cold war and overthrew capitalism and is now a propaganda ridden dystopian hellhole which will rustle the jimmies of online tankies the world over.
The more recent attempts to pre-cancel are showing the in-game propaganda and pretending its played straight and is an ode to russian militarism which is now in poor taste (re: the Ukraine).
Also that they have tried to distance themselves from being a Russian dev and have said they don't want to get drawn into politics and their goal is just making a fun game, another trigger for certain terminally online types.
