Yeah, it's just the sillhouettes for potential DLC.

Looks like Freedom Gundam, The O, Gottlaran and Arche Gundam to me. Still surprised AGE-1 isn't in this game as promotion for the series.

I might have to skip this solely because I don't think it's worth that kind of cash even though I'd like to play it.

Buying my first SD Gundam G Generations game since I gotta import a 3DS anyhow for Kingdom Hearts in March so might as well get a J-3DS game and G Generations 3D has GUNPLA BUILDER units, which is kind of appealing.

So now with Aquarion 2 and Eureka Seven 2, they REALLY need to announce SRWZ2-2 soon for 2012 release so that Z3 in 2015 can have even more Eureka Seven!

omgggggggggggggggggggggg

SRWZ3 potential lineup now includes:

-Gundam Unicorn
-Star Driver
-Aquarion Evolve
-Eureka Seven AO
-Break Blade
-Gundam AGE
-Mazinger SKL
+classic shows

Looks good!

Assuming Z2-2 is:

OO S2 + OO Movie
Rest of GW + EW
Gurren S2
Rest of Votoms
Rest of Getter Armeggedon
Rest of Mazinger TV
+V Gundam?
+few more shows

Need to announce!

I hope they don't wait until 2nd OGs actually comes out to announce Z2-2.  I have the feeling 2nd OGs is not going to be out until April at earliest.

Occasionally.

Would like to play more often but the backlog calls and doesn't let me devote too much time to a game.  Which is why I mainly just stick to single player games I can beat and shelve.

Yikes, texturing and modeling is pretty weak all around.  At times looks like PS2-ish.  We're 7 years into the HD gen, when are these devs going to step up their game?  ACE:R looked really ass-y as well.

SRW Mobile, and of course, not on iOS :\  DOCOMO-only so we gaijin can't play it :(

Cast list is pretty good considering it will be 100% copy and pasted sprites from @3, W, L and Z2 and other places.

According to this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Super_Robot_Wars_games_by_system

It's the first non-port cellphone SRW.  Really wish it was on iOS as I could do SRW turns during lunch break.

That being said the pricing is pretty baaaaaad.  It's 535yen for every 3 stages.  3 stages a month.  That is going to add up to a lot.

Yeah.  Assuming there's no branches because of the way it's structured, you'll probably get 20-30 stages total.  So ~4000-5000yen.

So I did the first map of G Generation World to see how the series plays.

Pros:
+dialogues between bosses are voiced (SRW should add this!!)
+building a team of gundams to take into various stories across gundam universe sounds like it could be interesting
+the whole chance step stuff seems neat

Cons:
-No button to change to the next still-active unit?  What?  This is like essential in srpgs and I can't seem to find it so I have to search the field for non-turn-ended units left to use.
-I don't like how enemies don't have reactions to getting hit/dying.  I miss the SRW thing where they go BLAAAARGH YOU GOT MEEEEEE and then proceed to explode.
-man I miss seishins from SRW when my hit percentage is like 50% and I don't just have a spell to up it to 100% :(  I hear they added seishins in G Gen 3D though, so I'm guessing eventually the series will be even closer to SRW.

Seems interesting.  When I get around to playing it I'll need to read some guides as to how to approach and play the series.

Mr. Gundam, I've been replaying Z2-1 (first time replying a SRW in new game+) and I keep thinking how it's CRAZY you haven't played this yet.  The animations, music, voices are all so good and GUNDAM OO everywhere.  You really should pick it up and give it a run through one of these days!

I spent the night playing G Generation World since I was in SRW mood.  I think I figured it all out on how the G Gen games work (since there's no tutorial or anything so it's just trial and error).  Doesn't seem like much of a story/mission SRW game as much as an addictive grind pokemon machine where you want to keep redoing stages and leveling mechs to upgrade them to cooler mechs and then repeat.  The only thing I don't get is how you "capture" enemy units.  Also perma-death SUCKS in a game like this.  Losing a leveled mech + pilot is terrible.

I started out with Exia Basic as my master unit and upgraded him to Exia Repair and then Exia Repair II.  I like how the game has a million gundams I never even knew existed lol.

Seems fun but I don't see why you would need more than 1 G Gen game ever 10 years or so since other than the 20-30 new mechs each game, the other 90% will just be the same and the gameplay is pretty light.
