Medal of Honor Airborne is kinda kick ass
I played the demo years ago and the unique structure is really pronounced compared with other shooters (especially Metro 2033, which is one of the most scripted games ever). When the theme kicks in and gunshots from yer boys and screams of nazi, it's chilling. You drop in and get shit DONE. Biggest problem is how empty the world feels. It's almost like a reaenactment of a world war 2 battle than an actual battle. If they kept with the theme, it would be cool to have civilians, interactive environments, destruction, vehicles, etc. Actually, thee structure would fit a Battlefield single player; Bad Company 1 was kinda similar but BC2 and BF3 were/look full on linear shooter.
I'm hoping one of the later levels is like arnhem knights from frontline. And it sounds totally dipshitty to complain about all those modern war shooters, but I honestly liked the WW2 setting and didn't think it was played out. WW2 has a nice vibe for games. Would be nice if one of the dozen or so series from last gen would continue. They've all converted to modern war or ended. Well, except Wolfenstein and The Saboteur but both were loose with the WW2 theme.
