She's really fucking creepy. Dunno if you got to a certain spot yet, but (minor non-plot spoilers)
spoiler (click to show/hide)
when Eliot's like "I feel like she can hear us. Can she see you?" I was shitting a brick. She's standing there unarmed next to her baby stroller, and she was more terrifying than pretty much all of the Dark Army...

When Elliott meets White Rose for the first time. The sense of diametric opposition. Control vs. Chaos. This show is one for the ages.

The weight of the ego, you'd easily drown in its wake

I forgot the full extent of the twist and  I'm happy i did. Holy fuck. This show.

Don't Fuck with cats on Netflix looks interesting. Three episodes at an hour each. Just started watching, it is based on a guy who did a little killing and posted them online and the sleuths that try and catch him. Honestly never heard of the guy. I thought it was about the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs at first but remembered their footage was leaked during the trial. Those cat lovers would probably gouge their eyes out after seeing all that.

Honestly if you have never heard of the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs, don't look it up. It's up there with the photos of a guy committing suicide by an industrial sized band saw. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

Mr. Robot is quickly becoming my favorite show of all time. The mixture of mental health, paranoia, tech, all threaded into a grand global conspiracy leans so far into my vibe I don't think any show could lean any closer. Apart from Twin Peaks.

The Witcher is cheezy gold. It has a great feel that’s somewhere between high-end porno and low-end SyFy and either way it’s pleasing me like much golabki being shoved between cheeks.

Witcher es bad. What sort of fucking show shows tits in the early episodes then completely stops showing tits, but still has sex scenes, even though they're not showing tits anymore? I know how sick giant dadholding S&M freaks like TVC get off on that shit because the poor writing of the show is like some sort of self-defilement for them, but we live in a competitive attention economy and I have some books and movies and stuff i've been meaning to check out and stuff. Netflix gets all that user data and when it sees that I watched all the way to the end I takes that as a positive metric regardless of whether, and it's like i'm endorsing the show, so I need to demonstrate that I am not watching so they know not to make trash shows in the future.

Many (most?) "gritty" shows do it.
Nudity is the hook you need in season 1, then they just tug you along with the story.

I saw the first season of True Detective aka True Detectits and wow, what a show! I shotgunned the whole thing today. Only complaint is that I hated the way McConaughey talked. Are the following two seasons any good? I haven’t heard good things about them but I thought I would ask.

I finally finished all three seasons. Season two was a big drop in quality over the first season but it was still a good show. Season three did a lot of interesting things that was great but still fell short of season one. Thanks for the recommendations to keep going!

so Eliott is a system, really makes you think.

It really isn't that confusing:

spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Elliot we have seen for the duration of the TV show is one of 4 alternate personalities the real Elliott created to deal with the trauma of his life. The Elliot prime personality is stuck in a fantasy hacker Elliott created for him. Hacker Elliott likes being in control, and despite his mission being over, he doesn't want to relinquish control to Elliott prime. The other personalities are attempting to let him know his time is up and he should let Elliott prime regain control. The Krista voice spells it all out pretty clearly.

I thought it was a pretty touching finale, although maybe it didn't actually need to be two hours.

like I said I was half way through, I had not got to the last one and I watched it last night, it was pretty decent way to end the series but still the last season was just very poor overall.
The fact that real Elliott is going to wake up and have literally nothing he wanted left is a feels bad though. I'm just glad it is over at this point!

The Expanse season 4 was a fun season with a disappointingly quick finale.

they even spent 10 episodes building Amos' new babe, and then kill her almost off screen, to reiterate a point (about Amos' character) that has been made several times before.
I guess you could call it bold, but it felt like a time waste to me.

Overall i really enjoyed it, but as far as plot development goes, it felt more like half a season than a full one.

End of the F#@king World S2 - This was always going to be a tough season to do since the first season was a) an adaptation of a finished graphic novel from start to finish with a conclusive ending and b) one of the best seasons of tv on Netflix imo. It turned out...fine. It's much smaller in scope and definitely not as good as the first season, but the directing is still fantastic and the two leads & their chemistry are still so much fun to watch. Any time they're on screen it's enjoyable just because of them. I can't think of any other film/tv where actors have done emotions/faces like they do and it just brings something very real to the show about relationships with damaged people.

In the end it's short and at worst a nice little fan-fiction epilogue. Which is fine. Glad it exists because it was nice to see the pair again and it was enjoyable. Doubt they'll do a S3. Would definitely like to see the two leads in more stuff. The guy was in a Black Mirror ep which was nice, but the girl hasn't been in much yet.

I watched a couple of episodes (4, i think) of the first season, because Captain Flint was in it.
Decent budget, so it looks pretty good, but i found it quite boring and stopped.

Animation aside, TLA wasn't even that good, people blew it way out of proportion.

I watched 1 episode of Dragon Prince (out of sheer morbid curiosity, because the setting looks bland as shit) and it just seems like another kid's show.
You can't watch this stuff and expect it to be entertaining from an adult's point of view, i suppose.

Final season of Mr.Robot was perfect. Absolutely perfect.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
What beautiful minds behind the show. Being able to wrap what is already an insanely out there concept in such a beautifully profound way. It almost makes an interesting conceptual companion piece to Twin Peaks S3 as far as the doppelganger concept. The existential crisis involved and the need for absolute control but, in this case, that facet of Eliot understood just how false it would be to go on. Leading to a reunification of the self.

Not quite, but it’s one of those shows where all the pieces are there but it’s just not there, so who knows, it may be better in season 2. I really don’t like Nancy though. She’s like an unlikable Veronica Mars that frequently dresses like Wendy from Wendy’s.
