So apparently Kenzan has a problematic child prostitution storyline with Haruka which makes releasing it difficult without changing some main plot cutscenes. I played the game like 15 years ago so don't remember any of this, but I'll take era's word for it. May be the main reason Kenzan isn't coming over.

With it dated for 2024, think they’re selective of what’s ready to show. Described it as an open world action rpg? Seems it’ll be them doing an AC game with team ninja sensibilities.

Also, saying Ishin was rebuilt and enhanced etc. What’s that mean? Like 0, it released on PS3 and PS4, with PS4 being 1080p 60fps. So is it just 4K on PS5 now or is it a heftier remake? Don’t think it makes sense to rebuild it in the dragon engine.

It’s being remade in Unreal 4. First time using the engine.

These two plus Assassins Creed Samurai and Ghost of Tsushima 2. Now if only there was a Way of the Samurai 5 and Kengo revival.

I feel differently, but I think it was how I approached them both...  Went into the Direct expecting alot, while I went into the State of Play expecting nothing.

Makes sense if it’s the main story. I know Yakuza 3 had dated elements edited out. Yakuza 4 replaced an actor’s likeness for drug possession. It’s Japan, so probably just weed.

Didn’t think Ishin would ever happen. Not taking that for granted. In a perfect world both plus the PSP Kurohyou games would be in one big package. Wouldn’t say no to a Dead Souls remaster either.

As far as Japanese games go, we eating good.

I mean, Square Enix alone is releasing like 8 RPG's during the next 4 - 6 months and that's just 1 publisher.
On Switch Nintendo's line-up is stacked all the way to May when Zelda hits which is right after Resident Evil 4: Remake drops in March.

TGS still has to start proper so there's probably more in the tank than Nintendo and Sony showed thus far.

Beautiful ode to one of my favorite consoles that had everything. Weird shit, normie shit, japanese shit, goofy shit, horny shit. To this day it's still my favorite Xbox system even though 360 is better. Unfortunately it never really took off with the cult status of Gamecube, which might be in its favor because Xbox games are cheap as all fuck but on the other hand Xbox emulation is still wayyyyy behind because no one gives a shit about it and BC is missing so many bangers. If there's a multiplatform game of the ps2 generation, chances are it's better on X. Dope console and I still have mine, although I haven't turned it on in over ten years. I should to see if it still works.

This is actually the worst thing about Xboxes. They have bad capacitors in them that will burst and ruin the motherboard in ways from not keeping the clock saved to not working period depending on the severity.

Thankfully, since they're just PCs crammed into a smaller box, they are easy (not quite Dreamcast easy though) to take the offending capacitors out before this happens. I wish people selling used ones would tell you if this has been done or not though. I bought a pretty cheap one off Amazon packaged with some games and a bigger hard drive in it (but no cords/controllers/etc. but I already had all these) and the guy had thankfully already done it when he put the hard drive in.

They've listed Assassins Creed Mirage for 54.99
Mario + Rabbits is 52.99 for the vanilla or Cosmic Edition, 89.99 for the Gold Edition with Season Pass but that has already dropped to 74.99 at retail.

I think it's just PR stuff, no one will ever buy Ubi Games at full price and they know it.
The last Ubi game I bought at full price was Assassins Creed 2 at launch but that was a Collectors Edition including a Figurine for 60 Eurodollar.

In Europe at least Ubi's business drives on the retailer discounts. You will always see Assassins Creed and Far Cry listed in the top 10 because they are 20% - 30% cheaper than everything else AAA.
I've got no clue what their prices are overseas, maybe they'll increase their prices for the US and other markets.

I never got to play S3.. I remember getting it back at launch, but disliked the 3D approach and sold it off almost immediately.  Would certainly give it a prodigal son approach now.

Read the manga. It tells the story even better. Suikoden III still stands as one of the most unique RPGs of all time. It has flaws, but wow when it works it really works. It's a game with ambition that had its wings clipped but if you can get past that you can have one of the most unique games of all time at your fingertips.

As a black kid it meant so much to me. Actual representation and it was a foreign country doing it better than my own, too. That game means a lot to me and I'm really hoping I and II take off so III can find an audience it truly deserves.
