I spent a couple hours doing an online homework and after spending ten minutes on the final problem I finally submit the whole thing and apparently a few people had issues using their registration codes so he tries resetting the whole assignment to see if that'll fix it and now I have to do it again with slightly different values in each equation. It's bad enough that he spends half the class making jokes but now I can't even get a chance to use the amount of math that I was able to teach myself.

well I had a panic attack, if you've had one before you know there is no way to deal with that shit. Basically had an overwhelming sense of worthlessness, wanted to die etc.

I've been suffering from depression for the past 6 years or so, every now and then it just comes out in a bad way.

not sure why Im telling all this here though. I guess this board is an easy way for me to talk about stuff like this

i've been there before, and you won't get better without help. I suffered depression a good amount of my teenage years well up into adult hood and it sucks, so I've been there.

But it won't get better doing all of this alone.

Sceneman - I guess I know that feeling of post-drunk depression but this seems pretty bad. You might need to find cool people that don't like to party to try to break yourself of the bad habits for a while. I know that having a wife that doesn't drink (at all) has kept me a lot closer to the straight and narrow than I'd otherwise have been. If I get too drunk around her, she teases me mercilessly

If it's genuine alcoholism though, I got nothin'. Any kind of treatment you can get, I would take it.

yeah I'm on Citalopram but it doesnt do too much. I used to take Prozac and I think it was actually more effective. I dunno.

I'm feeling better now anyway, I've just been grinding Castlevania HD for a few hours and had lots of fun doing that. Good old vidya is always there for ya. I went out and shot a few hoops with my roommates too.

I think it's mild alcoholism, I just haven't shaken my teenage drinking habits! I've talked to a few friends since posting here and they are all being very supportive. I'm lucky I guess.

i have an okcupid account. had one for a bit over the summer and reactivated it again a bit over a month ago out of pure boredom.

but from what i've heard from a lot of people who have tried online dating and based on my own observations, the only straight people who ever have any success with the site are the crazies and the chubs, and they're quite easy to spot given how transparent they are. i've had alot of exchanges and still get messages a few times a week but nothing ever results from any of it, and if things are going well, once i propose we meet for a drink, most will stop messaging me completely. a date has never resulted from any of it.

but seriously, it's amazing reading profiles and seeing how much shit people are made of. so many women say they're typically at a themed costume party or an opening of some art gallery every friday night...

i guess i'm just too humble and able to admit my stupidity/faults or maybe i'm just that lame?

Actually, they make a lot of sofas that short. I don't know the purpose in them, but it happens. But honestly, if the photo she saw online was taken like you took yours, it probably did seem huge. I would have guessed that thing to be at least another foot taller.
