Not really a cliffnotes version, just the first act. Supposedly they want to adapt the entire manga story with whatever Sunrise is doing.

Absolute garbage but the bright side is there's only like 3 or 4 good things Macross related and two are licensed by Manga (Macross Plus and Macross II). Macross Frontier sucks, Macross Delta sucks. Pretty much everything Macross after Zero is garbage. Macross 7 also sucks but nerds on the internet will try to convince you otherwise occasionally. It has a handful of cool moments but it's trash.

Fuck Harmony Gold though and I know a lot of ppl were waiting on this shit to die especially since they're mainly a real estate developer now? Fucking sucks, modern copywright law is a scam.

But it confirms the "reddenning" for lack of a better term from Near-Third Impact is somehow reversible by humans. Which makes it curious that the Japanese NERV HQ was still affected by it.
