Is it ageist to say I'll never vote for a Baby Boomer? Enough already.

I was listening to a local radio show this morning and someone called in to say they got a rash after Biden kissed her on the cheek when she was 5.

It's really pretty wild how lefty media is pushing to let Diamond Joe be Joe and "he's just affectionate get over it" after the past 2 years where even the slightest hint of impropriety was met with instant backlash and condemnation, even without any proof or evidence beyond he said/she said stuff.

Even weirder, my local area conservative talk radio people are making jokes about how weird and creepy he is, and commenting on how hypocritical left wing people are being about it, but also kind of agreeing with them that it's not a big deal and people wanting Biden to drop out before he's even announced are loons. But that could be because they want him to run so he can get the nomination and then have all this shit come crashing back down right before the election or something. I'd need Nintex to explain the strats.

I wonder what Gilly Gilly would say if she wasn’t running. Like he’s out there Eskimo kissing random women. She’d probably cancel him forever. :doge

I think Biden is a much weaker candidate than his polling lets on. He’s basically just been America’s goofy grandpa for the last 10 years, but imo he’s really out of step with a lot of the Democratic Party today. A couple of ads of him going ham on Anita Hill and hearing him talk about how great Lindsey Graham is or something like that will do him in

Of course, I also thought Kamala would be a lot stronger candidate and laughed st Bootyguy entering the race... so maybe just listen to Nintex.

True, I've never seen the left create something like this

Although the spontanious non-affiliated memers are far better than Turning Point USA and other 'forced' meme factions.

With Joe possibly done, who do we reckon is the candidate with the best chance of actually beating Trump at this point? Obviously debates will change things, but I think Kamala might be the one with the most chance. Time to get in on the YAAS Queen 2.0 hypetrain.

No idea.

Always weird that so many people agreed on Biden being the best option for electability. He's run for president twice and didn't make it to New Hampshire either time!

I think "too handsy in public" isn't fatal for him for a few reasons, but it's a microcosm of the scrutiny and criticism he'll get if he runs that he'd avoid by just being an elder statesman and collecting speaking fees.

Also not sure if he groks how much the party has moved on certain things or how much he's willing to do an apology tour vs. defending his record. In 2008, his main brag at the debates was that he wrote the '94 crime bill.

Personally I think Bootyguy makes a great foil to Trump.

Young, charismatic, smart, takes pipe, fairly progressive, and not Bernie (whose platform I like, generally, but has a divisive brand in the Democratic Party). Biggest drawback is obviously he’s maybe a little TOO young, and has not so much experience.

He also has that non-corporate thing going. Pres is still a long shot, but I could see someone picking him up as VP.

A few months ago, I would have said that Kamala would be my choice, but I actually like her less and less the more I know about her. I also feel she made a right ass out of herself during the Kavanaugh hearings, by insinuating that she had new details during questioning but it turned out she was just bluffing.

It's all well and good winning the democratic primary with your progressive, identity politic shtick when you need the black and female vote. It's when you get into the generals and need to attract the white guys where the problem might be. After Trump win it seemed clear America has some more 'conservative' voters that need to be contested for than Hillary's people anticipated.

Which is why I personally thought Biden might have had the best chance just because he was an old white guy, centrist, with some old "school charm". Plus the Obama association having a knock on effect to boost his popularity. Seemed like a safe choice when going against a radical like Trump, basically similar to Hillary but without the off putting personality. At least before the creepy touch gate possibly sinked him.

Bootygig might be great and all, but he is gay. Would America elect a gay guy? I could see his homosexuality potentially driving even the afro and latino voters away, not to mention the white homophobes. Even Democrats have Jesus freaks in the base I'm sure.

If the Dems go with Buttigieg they have no one to blame but themselves for a 6 months of butt joke campaign from Donald J. Trump.
The only candidate that can win is the candidate that is not an establishment politician (Trump eats politicians for breakfast), not super wokeymon and in all honesty none of the humorless yassss queens.
Biden had a shot but with the creepy uncle Joe stuff that rules him out in the year of our lord 2019. Bernie is a too radical socialist. He would not have the "I prevented Clinton from becoming President" bonus that he would've had in 2016.
(where he was the ONLY likeable candidate on the Dem side)

However, in conclusion Andrew Yang is the only Democrat powerful enough to wield the power of memes and win the argument against Trump.
Because when Trump says jobs, he says $1000 a month. And when Trump says: "No can't do" he says: "Why not?" and Trump would have to present himself as someone who dislikes money and sides with the politicians.
Destroying his 'image' as the guy that likes and knows about money and turning it into a 'RINO dad' that wants to cut some abstract idea of 'spending' is just one of the many ways that Yang could take out Trump.

Trump doesn't have anything against Yang. He'd be the perfect candidate. Which is why the Democrats will pick someone else.
