The Pee Tape Is Real, but It’s Fake

There’s a video going around that no one’s really talking about. What makes it most unreal is how believable it is.

Before we go any further, bear this in mind, so no one gets confused: The pee tape is fake. This pee tape, anyway. Whether this pee tape is the pee tape—perhaps you’ve heard of it as the “piss tape,” or the “pee-pee tape,” or the “golden shower video”—is one of the things that are still unclear about it.

But it is very far from being an obvious fake. There are a number of reasons to believe that this pee tape would be real, and there are also a number of reasons to believe it is not. One reason to believe it is real is that it does exist—an extremely lifelike, extremely grainy video clip depicting Trump in the presidential suite of the Ritz-Carlton in Moscow, while two nude or near-nude women cavort in front of him—and you can watch it right now. The more I tried to prove to myself it wasn’t real, the less confident I became in my own skepticism.

Could it be the real tape?

Every few months, after I’d dismissed it in my mind as an obvious fraud, someone new would bring the tape up to me. Usually they’d just seen it and wanted to see what I thought. I would retread my initial suspicions and explain that, while it must be a fake, it’s certainly a very good fake. And each time, I’d walk away a little less convinced.

After all, it’s true the carpeting looks too dark, but so does the whole room. Surely even light carpeting might look gloomy under those conditions. And on closer inspection, is that really a vest the Trump figure is wearing? Or is it just part of his shirt? Is the man in the chair even wearing a tie at all?

It’s impossible to say with any certainty. Nor, even if it is a vest, is it is completely inconceivable that at some point on Nov. 9, 2013, after being photographed in his suit, Trump might have changed into white-tie.

And just as the real Donald Trump did on the night of the pageant, the Trump-like figure in the clip appears to be wearing French cuffs. While the video is too blurry (conveniently so) for any authoritative comparison, the figure’s cufflinks do certainly appear similar.

In the interest of transparency, I should note this piece of evidence has been met with mixed reactions. One friend told me, “It definitely looks like it could be the same cufflink,” while another said, “Oh no, you’ve lost your mind.” This point remains inconclusive.

More convincing than the fuzzy accessories, though, are the figure’s mannerisms. For instance, near the end of the 25-second version of the video, we see the Trump figure beginning to type on what appears to be his phone.

Delaney is not a "maniac about diet," he said. Burgers, hot dogs, and pork chops at the Iowa State Fair don't pose any threat to his routine.

“It's not like this is the biggest part of my life where I spend an enormous amount of time thinking about it,” Delaney said of his fitness level.

Nevertheless, he is consistent.

He starts his days with a Core Power protein shake and insists that the daily protein bar he consumes contains at least 20 grams of protein.

Delaney’s fitness routine revolves around finding time for a gym workout, usually in the morning, hopefully everyday, but inevitably four to five times per week.

“I definitely have a mindset that I want to do something every day,” Delaney said. “It isn't upsetting if I don’t, but I am definitely in a better mood when I work out.”

Delaney's dedication in exercising on the campaign trail once led him, via a Google search for a Vegas gym, to a nearly forgotten fitness center near the baggage claim of McCarran International Airport.

The gym, Zero Level Fitness, used to be a Planet Fitness open to the public, but after the Sept. 11 attacks, it became exclusive to airport employees and travelers willing to show a boarding pass and pay $10.

“I was the only human being there other than the employee checking people in,” he said.

He’s identified three hotels near the Des Moines airport with sufficient gyms containing cardio equipment and machines: the Hilton, the AC Hotel by Marriott, and the DoubleTree.

Delaney prefers treadmills to running outdoors because he’s usually unfamiliar with his surroundings.

He eschews the bench press and squats, fearful of getting injured — he has four daughters to keep up with, in addition to the campaign.

Delaney’s workout routine is basic. He is a gym specialist who occasionally plays tennis and makes sure to get good sleep, about 7 hours a night, to fuel recovery.

During a whirl around the basement gym of his suburban Maryland campaign headquarters this month, Delaney performed sets of lat pulldowns, chest presses, and bicep curls. He wore day clothes during the test run with the Washington Examiner, sporting a collared shirt and jeans fitted with a Georgetown University belt, representing his law school alma mater.

On the road, he carries his gym clothes in the same tote bag he’s had since 2000, labeled with the commercial lending company he founded that year, Capital Source. The bag contains a T-shirt (not the cutoff kind exposing his arms), sneakers, and shorts.

“I left that part of my Jersey roots behind,” Delaney, who was raised in northern New Jersey, said of his reluctance to work out with arms bared.

Delaney also works out without a soundtrack because he prefers silence and because music distracts him from checking his phone for updates from his staff.

Delaney’s short but consistent and efficient routine is a good one for someone in his position, according to one fitness expert.

“I always think about getting old as you are fighting back the tide,” Delaney said. “But it keeps coming. I try to exercise to fight the tide. It would definitely be part of my White House routine. And I bet they have a really good gym in the White House.”

Although it's admittingly a stupid thing she should not have done, the Native American thing is an example of why the field of who gets into politics has so greatly narrowed. It's somewhat similar for stuff like the yearbook Michael Jackson blackface of the Virginia Governor that captivated the world for 36 hours during a simpler time.

I'm not lamenting it really or anything but for a lot of people it discourages them (there have been studies for this in poli sci but I don't even recall a name for you while I'm waiting on Titanfall 2's matchmaking here sorry, something about the increase in share of lawyers and generic "business" men with I think doctors and journalists/newspaper people being the larger drops as a share) and one of the things with a character like Trump, or even a Hillary, is that there's such as sheer amount of it and lots of it questionable that people (voters) don't bother to believe any of it in a way they will hold Warren or someone accountable for the single transgression that a more public figure earns passes on multiple times.

Minnesota and New Mexico would become the 11th and 12th states to adopt California’s zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) mandate and the 14th and 15th states to adopt its tailpipe standards. Colorado said in August it would adopt the ZEV mandate.

The Obama-era rules called for a fleetwide fuel efficiency average of 46.7 miles per gallon by 2025, with average annual increases of about 5%, compared with 37 mpg by 2026 under the Trump administration’s preferred option to freeze requirements.

The Trump administration escalated its fight on Tuesday with California by threatening to withdraw billions of dollars in federal highway funds because of poor California air quality.
