...That's because he ran a contest to do that, Trip. :comeon

Even with the contest, he has the lowest share of small donations.

A handful of democratic socialists who support Senator Bernie Sanders for president stalked Democrat Betsy Dirksen Londrigan outside of a campaign event in Champaign on Monday night and attempted to block her car from leaving the event.

In a Facebook Live video, the activists screamed at Londrigan and challenged her to debate Stefanie Smith, a lesser-known candidate running in the primary race in Illinois’ 13th Congressional district.

One agitator yelled, “Will you support Medicare for All?”

I’m 2015 Debbie Wassweman Schultz found a monkeys paw with two wishes left. She said “I wish for Bernie Sanders to lose the primary to Hillary Clinton”. Than in 2019 she wished for Someone to beat Trump in 2020.

That’s the only way to explain politics today.

Does California have a viability threshold statewide? Or is viability based off a smaller metric? Because it looks like no other candidate reaches 15% in California based on polls, effectively giving Bernie everything.

He would mention his being arrested trying to see Mandela “twice more in the next seven days,” according to the New York Times. And in one mention, he offered a coda to the story: “After he got free and became president, he came to Washington and came to my office,” Biden said in Las Vegas on Feb. 16. “He threw his arms around me and said, ‘I want to say thank you.’ I said, ‘What are you thanking me for, Mr. President?’ He said: ‘You tried to see me. You got arrested trying to see me.’

Quote
Both the Times and the Washington Post, in separate looks, have found no evidence to support this story, and no instances of Biden mentioning it until recently. The U.N. ambassador at the time, Andrew Young, has said that he was never arrested in South Africa, and he didn’t think Biden was, either.

Sanders is absolutely trolling Biden with this motto choice.

Quote
“When I exited the plane, I was directed to one side of the tarmac, while the African American congressmen traveling with me were sent to the other side,” the statement read. “I refused to break off, and the officials finally relented.”

Quote
“It always seems impossible until it is done.”

So, he got "arrested" the same way white people get "arrested" when shit goes down.

Hey guys, can I get some help? I just woke up. Might be groggy. Might be something vaguely hypnagogic going on, you know? Can one of you click the following link and tell me if the following words are actually there, and that a human being presumably wrote them:

Quote
If voters were looking for a Sanders alternative who looked like he could be commander in chief in this debate, Buttigieg made a very good case for himself.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/25/politics/who-won-south-carolina-debate/index.html

Note: only read Pete’s blurb; above text may not be most borktarded thing present

Quote
As she has done in nearly every debate, the Minnesota senator did more with fewer opportunities than almost any other candidate on stage.

She inexplicably seems to get the most speaking time in most of the debates (didn’t see last night’s breakdown though)!

Ugh, anyway, I voted Bern, and his responses the past week on paying for shit have reminded me why I was anti-Bernie in 2016: he’s an idiot that has no plan and no clue what he’s doing. It’s not that I care about the specifics on how shit is financed, but I’d at least like a candidate that appears to have thought of his biggest policy proposals for more than an hour or two. I kind of feel like a dope for voting for him, but what were the alternatives? :klob The Democrats really fucked up with this lineup.

I think it's stupid as fuck to do a thorough policy body of work like Hillary did while campaigning.  It's a waste of time. Like who ISN'T gonna jump at the chance to figure out how to get money for the Green New Deal when nomination starts?

Aside from that that stuff gets tweaked working through the sausage factory.

Part of it is that you have a couple of people who jumped in so late that if they entered and did the field work, they either have a stronger position or realize this their battle and dropped out.

I still question what the fuck Bloomberg is doing. He isn't a serious candidate, he seems bored at he even has to compete and the dude doesn't have a vision. It's like Trump's worst tendencies at full display and even more unexcusable because the dude is fucking boring. At least with Trump you are guaranteed a show.

ABC correspondent suspended for privately telling the truth:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/media/abc-news-suspends-correspondent-david-wright-after-project-veritas-sting/2020/02/26/764efc06-5849-11ea-9b35-def5a027d470_story.html

What he said was incredibly mild.
America, quo vadis?

Quote
The choppy, poorly shot video, released Wednesday morning by Project Veritas, captured Wright on what appeared to be a hidden camera, seeming to complain in general terms about political coverage.

I don’t think we’re terribly interested in voters,” he said, echoing gripes about the superficiality of some aspects of White House and campaign coverage that have been raised by journalists for decades. Also: “Commercial imperative is incompatible with news.”

At one point he says: “We don’t hold him to account. We also don’t give him credit for what things he does do.” In subtitles, Project Veritas indicated that “him” stood for President Trump. He refers to Trump at another point as “the f-----g president.”

But ABC probably was also alarmed at Wright’s criticism of ABC News, which is owned by the Disney Co. At another point, he raises another longstanding critique of ABC News — that it blends news with promotion of Disney-owned movies and TV programs.

Like now you can’t watch ‘Good Morning America’ without there being a Disney princess or a Marvel Avenger appearing,” he says. “It’s all self-promotional.”

I’m not really looking for a thorough policy, I’m looking for a clue at all. He seems to get flustered when he’s asked about basic details. He blew this on 60 Minutes where he had time to prepare a safe answer that didn’t even have to say anything meaningful. To me, I guess the red flag is that he seems very reactive and unprepared for things I’d expect him to be more prepared for. He’s had a lot of time to perfect answers to this shit, he’s running on the same promises as 2016 and he was asked some of this stuff then, too.

I hear this a lot but we had twenty candidates, and let me ask, who in the Democratic Party right now actually would've been a better candidate? And which past Democratic candidates would have been better candidates today?

you can't say "the party fucked up with this lineup" and then say "the party was always bad" :lol those are qualitatively different statements

It’s been third way pretty much my whole life, so I mean, it’s always been bad for me. I guess they weren’t third way in the 80s, but they weren’t relevant then. And this lineup is pretty shitty, even for them. My statements stand.

I think the lineup in 2004 was even more depressing, but alcohol has blissfully taken those memories away from me.

(Come to think of it, this is just off a cursory thought, but I’m pretty sure Obama was the first Democrat I felt good about voting for, and not just a vote out of duty/not making things worse)

Fuck I voted for John Kerry. Because of the democrats, I actually fucking put my name down on a piece of paper endorsing John Kerry to do a job. This is the non-sexy degrading. cover me in catsup.

If they win they're political geniuses who planned it out from the start, if they lose it's because of some personal failing instead of actual material conditions. Similar dynamic to how the President is always held responsible for the state of the economy.
