They did an episode on cancel culture that included Amber and had Matt Taibbi as the guest.
From how people were reacting on Twitter, went about as you'd expect.
i finally listened to that episode, and yeah, it was pretty bad. i expected taibbi and amber to whine about the terrors of cancel culture, but that other chapo going along with it was immensely disappointing.
edit: somebody on twitter said it best i think (paraphrasing): that episode was like what all chapo critics who never listened to chapo thought chapo was like
edit 2: some highlights:
- BLM/the left needs to be nicer to cops because most of them are working class people who can't get any other jobs
- one can make an argument that overpolicing is actually LESS racist than underpolicing
- black people have been telling taibbi that they want MORE police in their neighborhoods, not less
- BLM is criticizing minority cops, which puzzles taibbi and frost because by definition minority cops can't be racists
- they criticize the 1619 project saying that the U.S. wasn't founded on white supremacy and they lament how the project is now standard curriculum in schools all over the country (no source was provided)
- constant conflation of the BLM protests with cancel culture
- lots of whining from taibbi about people in newsrooms 'feeling silenced'
- calls leftist activists insane 'maoists' while insisting it's wrong to call people you disagree with 'nazis'.
absolutely no pushback from the male chapo whatsoever. it was pretty bad
