I'm wholeheartedly sorry for making a much-too-soon comment that was definitely in poor taste. What matters is how it _came out_, not my intent, and it came out super badly. I have tried to be sensitive to all types of equality issues in every aspect of my life, but I'm not a public person or a great speaker and some of what I say is stupid junk. This single bad joke doesn't represent my views on racial equality or on the systemic injustice present in the United States. I hope the rest of my actions in life are a testament to that.

There were protesters chanting outside my apartment during the stream, as there have been all week, and I had hoped to ... I had hoped to remind people that escapism is useful, but this situation is real, it's important, and we shouldn't be entirely able to escape from it even when we try. I obviously failed miserably.

He's been consistent about why he said it and I don't know him personally so I don't want to make claims above my knowledge. But this is part of what strikes me as bizarre about this. This. There is no sincerity at all in that apology. He's sorry he got caught, not for what he said. It is really disapponting. And yeah, I get SonicFox is a friend and it is hard to stand up against friends, this whole thing is weak as hell considering the dumb apology. It all stinks and I'm quite disappointed.
