Started doing stocks when covid hit and was an idiot day trading and fomoing. Alway DCA into things and got lucky with EV before biden came in and AMC things then slowly went downhill again. FOMO into crypto this past month and then went mega down...decided that it's my best interest to get out all together and put the remaining money into saving up for my own place. Making this thread to help cope and take accountability of my addiction. Hope this helps someone out there.

Fortunate enough to still have a job that pays well with a 401k option and have no debt. Transferring the money into my bank account and will delete RH once it is completed.

I honestly think discussion on crypto, as it currently stands, should be banned from the forum. It is extremely unhealthy and is openly encouraging gambling. A warning tag on the crypto thread has basically zero effect when the entire thread is a group of people shouting each other on, shilling their latest scam and encouraging folks to "HODL" and "for the moon!". It's not a discussion on technology or use, it's an open gambling thread / ponzi scheme and it's clearly costing people money.



I don't understand why we ban the discussion on much safer topics, but not this one. Resetera is giving a stamp of approval to extremely unhealthy, addictive and dangerous behaviour which normally wouldn't be tolerated at all. I moved from Cali to Florida and never looked back. The humidity sucks but it doesn’t keep me from enjoying all the theme parks year-round, and the area where I live is gorgeous, and down the street from Disney World. I’d have lost my mind by now had I moved to any of the other low cost states, especially Texas. I’ve felt like a perma-vacationer since I moved here a few years ago and I love it.

I stopped in San Antonio for a night on the road trip to Florida during the move, and the heat humidity hit me as hard as FL’s. Humidity sucks so bad, but at least being able to enjoy Disney World and Universal on my days off every week makes it all worthwhile. I’ve never been bored a day in my life here.
