spent the day playing Returnal. finally truly clicked. I liked it immediately but it was hard and enigmatic, still pushed through phrike and then died promptly in biome 2. played a little more but not much. watched the fextralife tips vid and did a more methodical run after a break and ended up pushing through the next few biomes. this game is something else. really cool stuff
They really utilized the PS5 features well... Which makes me wonder, when Returnal comes to PC, they'll be missing out on the DS haptic gameplay.. I so need to get back to this once I finally finish Elden Ring. Besides the brutal rogue element, the game's solid AF.
Why wouldn't haptic feedback be available if you use a DS5 controller?
Good question... does the DS5 function the same way when you just plug and play it to PC versions of the game? I just assumed it wouldn't, but who knows. Besides Astrobot, not sure what other games really use the haptics that truly play as part of the gameplay, as Returnal does.
Also will take higher resolution options and better/higher framerates over that any day.
Well, that
any day will have to wait a year or two, sure. And even then, one will have to pay full price for a year or two old game.

Something which Nintender folk should be use to though.
